'It's Tough to be a Bug' closing for refurbishment in August

Just checking the hours for my trip (21 days from today :sohappy:) on disneyworld.com, and It's Tough to Be a Bug isn't listed anymore as being closed in August (Primeval Whirl is the only attraction listed as closed).

Does anyone know if there's an update on this refurbishment, or if it's just an omission? It's not a huge deal breaker for my family or anything, but we do like the show.

It does appear to have been cancelled.

Good, we can see it when we're there.

What was wrong with the theater? We were there in March and I didn't notice anything wrong.

I recall seeing around here that some of the effects were down and it needs a good "scrubbing" so to speak (I believe I saw that it hasn't had a refurbishment in several years, but I could be wrong).

I personally think it should be switched to HD.

But I think Disney Canceled this because they are planning to be busier than usual. With all the additions to DHS hours, this could shape up to be one busy off-season.

AK has the two of the biggest and most sophisticated animatronics in the world and they are both down.

Worse than that is the fact that no one seems to care enough to fix it. What's next? Space Mountain...the ride where you get into the shuttle vehicle and a CM holds a strobe light in your face for two minutes then you get back off? Seriously, that is nearly where EE is at right now.

I sure hope not. I picked late August since that typically is not very crowded but it is looking like it will be. I avoid the peak times for a reason. We shall see in about 22 days how it looks down there.

I'm pretty sure the cars still move on EE -- backwards, even.

I want them to fix the Yeti as much as anyone, but even in disco mode it's still a very worthwhile ride.

Have ridden the ride many times with A-mode Yeti, I beg to differ.

Are you sure that you aren't just being hypnotized by the flashing strobe....I wonder :dazzle:

I made this really quick in PS as an example of what WDI seems to be missing...Picture for easy reference....
