WHY: Passholder Play Time

If you're tired of the same old, same old & would like to excuse yourself from this one I get it. No hard feelings, really... Considering this is my third TR in 3 months & not too much changes with us I'm sure you feel like you know my family & I as well as your own!! I guess that could be good or bad...

Anyhow, for those who are going to stick around thanks for reading & welcome!!

I've seen a few females in the parks wearing shorts like that. I honestly don't know how they are able to sit down. I still remember one younger female that wore tiny little shorts, a tiny little crop top, and 4 inch platform shoes LOL. She thought she was looking really cute but almost everyone passing her was actually giving her pitying looks I feet ached in sympathy for hers because mine already hurt in my Skechers

Now I'm super bummed we didn't meet because we were in the MK all day on the 19th!!

We stayed there until around 5:30 then went back to Riverside. I'm bummed also....

Mind me asking where you found the keychain? Would love one!

I looked back at the email to see where I made my purchases at. It was one of two places that I got it--either Fultons or the Emporium. I'm thinking the Emporium though.

Well... did it?

Yes--it did but I didn't buy him one until a few days later.

Last year, my son and his wife had a pic made at ToT, hugging and doing a cute quick little smooch, when the photo showed up in Photopass, I was shocked to see (teenager) in the shot, with her literal hiney cheeks staring back at us. It really looks like at least for that kind of thing, they could edit it out. I photoshopped it out but still, it was jaw dropping to see it in the picture. I don’t see how anybody could be okay with their hiney hanging out.

Thank you!! Aww--thanks for saying that about J. Funny you say that about the eyes. Everyone always says our eyes all look the same. That doesn't just go for my immediate family either. I'm the oldest of 26 grandchildren on my dad's side of the family & everyone says all our eyes are the same. Years ago I was at work & I was approached by a woman who said, "You must be Elaine's sister. I went to high school with her. I can tell you're related b/c you have the same eyes!!" It was crazy b/c I had never met the woman before. I told her that Elaine was my aunt not my sister. It was amazing though!!

As for MDE--these last few trips were so frustrating...and it wasn't just the app--the computer wasn't any better.

So there you are worried about mid length shorts yet some are not concerned about pretty much exposing themselves!!
What you saw in that photo was exactly what I was seeing while in line!!

I'm totally with you on your last sentences. I don't want to sound judgmental either & to each his own I guess but it made me feel uncomfortable. Especially being in a place where there are so many children I'm sure I wasn't the only adult that felt uncomfortable seeing that.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

We decided it was time for lunch. We normally try to eat during off peak hours so it's not as crowded but today we were there right during prime time!! We weren't concerned thought b/c MK wasn't that crowded & mobile ordering was working for once so we had our food right away.

E got the Shrimp & Chicken Nugget combo for her & J to share.

I hadn't had the Lobster Roll in quite awhile so I went with that. It was very good as usual!!

After our lunch we headed over to Fantasyland for our next FP. How about this crowd level??

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

And now it was time for one of J's favorites!! We had a FP for it but it was totally unnecessary.

Someone was really excited!!

I guess I was also!!

So, the most bizarre thing happened. We all know how they tell you to stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop then proceed to the exit etc. Well, I was the only person on the ride by myself. All of the other Dumbos had families in them. Therefore, I was the first one out of my Dumbo--I was the only one who didn't have kids to deal with. As soon as I got out a CM completely embarrassed me. She says over the microphone, "The ride is not over yet. Get back in your seat and buckle up." E looked at me with a look of confusion. I noticed others looking quite puzzled also. I sat back down & buckled in feeling like a teacher had just sent me to go sit in the corner-those of you who are my age would understand that. I'm sure teachers aren't allowed to do that anymore!! Anyhow, she came back around & made sure everyone was buckled in then the ride took off again. I guess the nice thing was we got a second ride but it wasn't communicated well in the least--again no one knew what was going on. On my end it definitely wasn't worth the humiliation that came with it.

Round 2:

When the ride was over the 2nd time she announced "Now the ride is over etc. etc......" I'm still confused over this a month later.....

We headed into Big Top Souvenirs. It was time for J's nap so E thought the cold air in there would help him fall asleep.
She mentioned that they have a Fuel Rod station in there so I could swap mine out.

I guess if it was working I could have

A gentleman approached the station while I was getting rejected yet again. He wanted to purchase a fuel rod. He was disappointed that it was out of order but got excited when he saw that I had one. He offered me $50.00 for mine b/c he really wanted one I told him no & said that mine would be of no use to him anyways b/c it needed charged. A CM then said that someone would be there in a half hour to refill it. He said he was going to wait for it to be refilled. Wise move sir........

E was trying to get J to sleep so we parted ways & I headed to my favorite attraction. I was really excited b/c I somehow missed this last trip.

Yes @Tuvalu I took an illegal picture in CoP but just one this time!!

I headed back to Big Top Souvenir to see if the Fuel Rod Station was operable at that point & it wasn't.
I picked up this cake pop while I was in there. It was quite tasty!!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

I met back up with E & J. He was sleeping. We decided to take turns going under the sea.

E was waiting for me at the exit. It was a perfect spot for J to take his nap. You could feel the a/c coming from the ride. The area was out of the sun & was relatively quiet. She asked me where I was going to go with J. I told her I was going to stay there b/c it was the perfect spot for him to nap at. Besides, it was a nice spot for me to stay out of the heat also.

I was really paying attention to the details at the exit while I was waiting.

While I was waiting for E I looked to see if any FP's were available for right around then. As luck would have it I scored one for a nearby attraction. When E got back I told her that I booked us one for Winnie the Pooh. It is not one of our favorites & we next to never go on it so when E had a pained look on her face once I told her I really wasn't surprised. I told her it is something we next to never go on so we were due & at least we didn't have to wait in a long line for it. She headed over while I still stayed with J in the same spot.

When she returned I asked her how it was. The response I got was, "It is what it is"

J was still sleeping so she stayed put with him while I took my turn to go visit the Hundred Acre Wood.

As I approached E she was waving at me to come over to her. She was much more excited than she was when she got back from her visit with Pooh. She told me I would never believe what had just happened. She said someone came up to introduce themselves to her. She said she knew her as "E" and recognized her from my trip reports. It was @AKemily!!! When she first told me I was in disbelief. I thought it was so cool that she approached E. I was super bummed though that I wasn't there. What were the chances of running into her?!?! Then I started asking a bunch of questions that she couldn't answer. I think she was still surprised!! I asked if she was coming off the ride & noticed her or was she walking by & noticed her at the exit. She said that she didn't come off the ride but maybe she did earlier & noticed her that's why she came over. @AKemily can you shed some light on how this transpired? I asked her what she was wearing figuring she couldn't be too far & hopefully I could pick her out so I could say hello also. My biggest question though was why they didn't get a picture to document such an important occasion!! Smartypants E said she was unsure of what proper forum etiquette was. I was bummed that J was sleeping so she couldn't meet him. But then I thought about it--if it wasn't for him sleeping E wouldn't have been there & @AKemily probably wouldn't have seen her.

@AKemily I think it was so neat of you to introduce yourself to E. Again, I'm bummed I didn't get to meet you myself. I kept a real close eye out for you the rest of our time at MK that day but unfortunately it never happened.....hopefully it will someday soon!!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

We decided to look through the shops on our way to our dinner reservation.

I just love the fall decorations!!

Funny story--about 4 years ago we were eating at Casey's & this gentleman was playing the piano. One of my sisters is a church organist. My nephew J(not this J another one) listens for a bit & says to me, "Wow, I think he might be better than Aunt C." Of course I had to call & tell her he said that. She thought it was hysterical but he felt bad when he found out she knew what he said!!

R wanted this shirt so I got it for him. I also bought a pair of readers for myself. In June I bought a pair that are a 2.0. They are too strong so I picked up a pair of 1.5's. The sad thing is I wear multi-focal contacts & I still need readers....

Wouldn't you love to have these in your yard?

I love these!! I was really hoping they would have had these out when I was there the month before b/c I would have bought them to wear to the Halloween party. Since I really had nothing to wear them for now I decided to pass on them.

The next few pictures are really nothing more than me documenting the light crowds that day.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

It had been quite a few years since E & I had ate here so we were excited to try it again.

E was still in the Emporium & even though our table was ready they said we couldn't be seated until she was present.
J colored while we waited.

While J colored I took notice of the people(I'm almost 100% sure)who didn't have reservations but were treating the waiting area like it was their living room.
Both of these guys were sleeping--I mean like they were out cold. And really, why is your foot on the table?? Kids color there while they're waiting for their table. Germs......

Thank goodness J was coloring at another table but then again, who knows what was on this table before we got there...

Our reservation was for 4:15. The restaurant was pretty much empty & it was quite hot out. They didn't ask if we had a preference--they just went ahead & seated us outside. I was a bit annoyed but E was quite angry & I could see where she was coming from. No one asked us where we wanted to sit & there was a ton of room inside. The sun was also shining right in her face. I could tell it was going to be a rough dinner. Our waitress(super nice girl) came by & took our drink and food orders. I seriously felt like we were sitting in the worst table in the place. I guess I wasn't the only one to think that way. A manager came by & paused for a minute then asked if we requested to sit at that table. E told her that we didn't & that we weren't happy sitting there between the sun shining in her face & the fact that it was so hot out. The manager immediately moved us inside. I wasn't sure if we made the right move. I assumed we would keep the same waitress. We got a new waiter & he was no ball of fire. Our former waitress walked by us at one point & turned her head at us. She seemed like she was upset. E & I had already discussed that we were going to give her a tip also on our way out b/c she did get us our drinks & took our food order.

Did he double dip this time??

Honestly, I wasn't paying attention but he's 3 so if I had to guess I would say yes!!

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH

I had the Grilled Jumbo Shrimp.

E had the House Salad. After seeing it I wished I had got that.

J had spaghetti & meatballs, broccoli & grapes.

When our meal was over we took care of the bill with our waiter. Then we looked for our original waitress. We stopped her & explained that we wanted to tip her since she took care of us for the first half of our dining experience. She seemed confused. As it turned out she didn't know why we moved tables. The manager never told her why so she assumed she did something that we didn't like. We explained why we wanted to move & we handed her the tip. We actually tipped her more than the next server b/c we felt bad & she was a lot nicer & more efficient than him. She seemed very touched that we would tip her also. She was very appreciative.

We headed out to see that the Flag Retreat Ceremony was getting ready to start. It was perfect timing!! It had been a few years since we saw this so I was really happy to see it again. It is a very moving ceremony. I highly recommend seeing it if you have the chance. Actually, it's worth making the time in your schedule to make sure you see it.

J was focused intently on it.

I was so embarrassed but I knew I had to do it! I had a chance of meeting you! What happened was that I had got off the ride and saw E and J standing there. I said to Kaitlyn “I know them! But they probably have no idea who I am. I think I’ll wait a little while to see if @riverside comes off the ride.” So I waited for a little while and in the meantime got a little distracted (I’ll talk about that in my report if I ever get around to Day 7). After my distraction (and some “encouraging” texts from @krause) there weren’t many people around so I decided to go for it. It was lovely meeting E! I didn’t ask to take a picture because I didnt want to weird her out more than I already had

At the end of the ride J said, "See, I didn't cry". Then he proceeded to ask me when I would buy him a car. He remembered that the month before I tried to bribe him with a car if he went on Pirates without crying. I guess he thought the offer still stood a month later.


Yeah, I know this all too well. Asking them why they didn’t do homework or clean their rooms, you will hear a ton of “I forgot.” But make one offhand comment about a possible bribe and it sticks in their brain FOREVER!!! Loving this TR so far. And Saris at the airport?

E figured that you might have got off the ride earlier & seen her b/c otherwise if you were just walking along through the park she would have been hard to spot since she was further back in the exit area. Actually, between the 2 of us we spent quite a bit of time there while J was sleeping & I'm surprised a CM didn't make us move. E knows about the my TR's but has yet to read them(I'm very insulted by that I might add) She was pretty shocked that someone would recognize her!! I said, "See, people do read my TR's!!" I thought a picture of you two would have been nice but I get why you didn't either. I'm really glad you at least got to meet her & I really give you credit for approaching her esp. b/c it's not like she is the one who's active on this site. Also, thanks @krause for the extra encouragement!!

That darn Winnie the Pooh ride blew it for me!! But like I said had I not made that FP she probably wouldn't have been there at that time. From what E said we missed each other by just a few minutes. But I totally understand!! Hopefully we'll get a second chance another time!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the crowds. This is the first trip in probably about 3 years that I thought the crowds were on the lighter end. It was very enjoyable!! Thanks for reading!!
