Mine changed too. Adventure race got cancelled because the event coordinator said the entry numbers were too low and that a lot of racers complained last year afterwards saying it was too hard. ! Its called an adventure race, not a flat 5k run. Maybe if they would have gotten with a local running shop or track club to help promote it, they would have gotten some more serious competitors that can handle a 10K trail run, 2 mile paddle and 33 mile bike. One person is claimed to say that they could walk for days and run for weeks. YOU HAVE TO TRAIN PROPERLY MORON!

February 17th Mercedes marathon
March 23rd Lake Martin 27/50 mile run
May 23rd LJCC Triathlon
June 8th Buster Britton Triathlon

indeed! If a race is too hard there is no one to blame but myself for under-training or not knowing what the heck I was getting myself into.

My schedule has changed a bit as well thanks to some weekend work requirements these are all qualifiers for the NYC marathon for 2014:
2/3 NYRR Gridiron Classic -4m
3/18 NYRR NYC Half
4/6 NYRR Scotland Run - 10k
4/28 NYRR Run as One - 4m

Really makes me made because he said next year, he would make it easier to get more participants. Why not advertise it more, make it equally as challenging and the athletes will come.

I have a nice list but for now my pride and joy will be the Eugene Marathon, Eugene, OR April 28! It will be my first marathon, and I am running it in the same place I ran my first half marathon-track town, USA!

I have heard that Eugene is a great marathon to run - from marathon nerds who travel coast to coast running various races. Let us know how it is!

May - Superhero Half Marathon

Not much else planned. I may do some 5K's here and there. I would like to find something to run with my dog. I know there are a few 5K's aroud here that are run with a dog 5K's

I saw an ad for the Rock The Ridge 50, but I know I am nowhere near in shape for that right now. And that is on May 4. I may put that on my list for next year, no time to work up to that now. Might have to get some advice from Nick for that one. (I know, for him that is just an easy Sunday morning warm up run)

My Rotary Club is trying to put together a 24 hour endurance race. I don't know when it will be, but I know I won't be running the 24, but we are also looking at doing 6 person teams (4 hours per person). That may be something I might do.

I've made some changes, too.

March 23 - Berry Half Marathon, Rome, GA
April 7 - Gulf Coast Half, Pensacola Beach, FL
April 13 - Warrior Dash GA

It's not spring/summer, but I'm planning to sign up for the ToT 10-miler and have an adult only trip to WDW. My kids are NOT happy!
