It's getting down to the wire... I get to book my vacation very, very soon! :D I'm SO excited, y'all!
I know for my ADR's I know am booking Cinderella's Royal Table for the princess character meal for my girls, and we want to eat at the Coral Reef, too. Our girls will be 9 and 4 at the time of travel, and we might possibly have my sister and her two kids, who will be 5 and 8. What other ADR's do you guys reccommend?

Since you have younger girls, I'd highly recommend Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus (Norway) in Epcot! Great breakfast, awesome face to face time with a lot of the princesses.

Would also highly recommend ressies for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

OH yes, we're definitely doing BBB! Both girls are SUPER excited about it, too. They keep changing their mind about which princess they want to be... ;)

So is Akershus better for face-to-face time with the princesses? I was going to do Cinderella's Royal Table 'cause I thought they would want to eat in the castle.

I've heard there is more princess exposure at Akershus simply due to the ratio of princesses to girls. I have heard mixed feelings both ways, some saying Royal Table is better, some say Akershus. I say just pick one and go for it. Plus never underestimate the fascination of eating in the castle for kids.

9 and 4 year old girls, I'd recommend, in addition to what you have, Garden Grill or Coral Reef (depends on how much your girls like fish, both looking at and eating of. ) Maybe look into the tea time at the Grand Floridian, but I forget the details of that, sorry.

We ate at both on our last trip in 2008 and I definitely feel like we got more F2F time with princesses at Akershus. We saw Belle in the foyer area and then Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Mulan and somebody else each came by our table for autographs and photos.

At the castle, we saw Cindy in the foyer for photos and an autograph and then went upstairs for dinner. We only saw the fairy godmother and mice during dinner. Eating in the castle was something that'll never be forgotten though!

Maybe this has changed since we were there.

Have fun!

If you're looking for a place to eat at EPCOT, I'd recommend either Rose & Crown (get the latest reservation possible so you can stay and watch IllumiNations there to avoid having to stake out a viewing location elsewhere an hour in advance) or the German Biergarten (fun atmosphere). If you decide to do Akershus, I recommend you go for breakfast because you get the same great princess face time but the food is better. Our family hated the dinner there (some picky eaters, some not).

We had fun at the 1900 Park Fare breakfast too - the Mad Hatter was a riot, and you get to see Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, and Winnie & Tigger.

Hmmm.... Maybe I can talk the hubby into doing both The Royal Table AND Akershus. ;)

Oooh, thanks for the tip about Rose and Crown!! I'll definitely have to do that!

The Crystal Palace is at MK and has Winnie the Pooh. We hit it everytime. Get an early reservation and you will be let in the park early. Some great pictures with hardly any people around!!

We did dinner at Askerhus and loved it. You definitely get a lot of princess time. But there is nothing like eating in the castle!!

There is another breakfast that I am blanking on, I believe at the AKL that is suppose to be amazing. I think it starts with a T? Maybe someone else knows. I haven't been but hear rave reviews.

i think the character experience for breakfast at askerus and crt are basically the same. i'd change it up and do maybe 1900 park fare, at dinner you still get cindy and the prince but the step sisters and step mother are hysterical at breakfast there you get alice in wonderland characters. i'd want to mix it up so they don't all seem the same experience different place. like chef mickey's you get the original characters or crystal palace it's the winnie the pooh characters. the fish tanks at coral reef are pretty and kids always love them.
i liked ohana's but we like grilled foods. things like the coconut races with the kids were fun.

Are you talking about the breakfast at Boma?? It is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend Boma for any meal actually as long as your family are ok eating foods they may not be familiar with.

Other than that I highly recommend Ohana (for breakfast or dinner), Le Chefs de France, Sanaa, Jiko, California Grille, Chef Mickeys (for breakfast) and Sci-fi Dine-In Theater (the food isn't outrageous but the atmosphere is pure fun).

And on the whole Akerhaus vs. CRT debate, they're both just very different atmosphere. Akerhaus is less formal in my opinion. I suggest CRT because I think it's an experience never to be forgotten eating in the castle. But if you can do both, even better!

I would suggest:
1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner
Ohana for breakfast for dinner
Whispering Canyon for dinner
Chef Mickey's for breakfast or dinner
Princess Storybook for breakfast or dinner
Crystal Palace for breakfast or dinner
Donald's Safari breakfast

We have the Wonderland Tea Party booked at the Grand Floridian again this year for our 6 yr old daughter....its about 2 hours of "tea" time with Alice and the Mad Hatter, they make (and eat) cupcakes and tell stories....there were only a few other kids in there last year(dont know how many they will go up to)....give your daughters a camera though, no parents allowed lol
