We're here! Just waiting for my best friend to pick us up.
Thanks for your thoughts on Gideon's. I think I'm good with skipping. I'd rather buy the Peanut Butter Pie cookies at the Confectionary.Chocolate salted caramel, and chocolate mint. View attachment 736684View attachment 736686
OK... I know, u popular opinion, but I think Gideon's is over-rated. Was the cake good? Yes. Are the slices huge? Yes. Was it worth standing outside in100 degree heat for 30 minutes and paying $10 per slice for? No.
If say if you can't really bake, it could be worth it for you if the weather is decent or there's no line. But E and I bake all the time, our cake is every bit as good and I prefer less frosting...the ratio at Gideon's is WAY off... I'd be happy with like a fourth of the frosting. So we could make our own way cheaper and not have to stand in that sun to get it. We didn't buy any cookies because none of the flavors appealed to us. Again, we can bake our own. There's a place for it for people who CAN'T bake, but it wasn't worth it for us.
There are two Photopass locations which I have used to find missing photos. One is in the Meet Mickey building in Town Square (enter the main door - Tony’s is on the left, Mickey straight ahead and Photopass service to the right) and the other is the Photo Center in Epcot (to the right of SSE if entering park from main entrance.)I know some of you have been able to recover photos from attractions that didn't show up in your app... Did you do that online or is there a physical place to look? Not one of our attraction pics has shown up except dinosaur, which we had to tap our cards for. I asked at frozen of there was a place to link photos and they said they would show up an hour after the ride, but we've ridden 3 times and none of them have shown up, nor have our haunted mansion or carrots pictures. I put in a claim for HM and the first Carrots one on our third day... It says you have to wait 24 hours. But it's been more than a week and they still aren't there. I described everything in detail and had times. I'd rather just go look through myself because it doesn't seem like they are very invested in looking. Is there a kiosk somewhere to do that?
Yes I already did that, and I got a message back that they need to confirm my information... It's stupid. I went through the app to request the photos... They HAVE that info. But whatever.I doubt there’s a way to look through pix yourself, but I have submitted requests online.
Thank you! We will head there! There are two Photopass locations which I have used to find missing photos. Give the CM the attraction, date and approximate time (the more accurate the time, the better) of when the photo was taken. The CM will pull up a photo gallery which you can see, and will continue to scroll through all the photos taken during your timeframe. When you see yourselves, alert the CM. There will be a number on the pic. The CM can then add the photo to your MDE.
It can be a time consuming process so you’ll need to be patient. Also there is a strong possibility that the camera on a particular attraction was not working properly that day. (Happens frequently at Pirates, HM and Guardians.)
Any Photopass location can pull up all the attraction pics. You don’t need to be in the park where the ride photo was taken.
UGH we ran into this as well on our quick trip at Pinocchio Village Haus. Would gladly join you on your soap box LOLpeople are saving tables before ordering
Wasnt that forbidden and enforced by Disney? aka no "saving" seats. We have a real knack for getting in the wrong line at QS restaurants. Gaston's is crazy busy and the people who came in behind us had their food before we even ordered. And people are saving tables before ordering, so we got our food and had to stand at a trash can to eat it while half the tables were taken by people with no food. Please don't be those people. Of course your feet hurt and you are tired of standing in lines, but everyone can say the same thing. I shouldn't have to stand at a trash can so you don't have to stand in line like everybody else.
*stepping off the soap box now*
I think they only do that at the busiest times like Christmas. Not sure, but there was no one even looking.Wasnt that forbidden and enforced by Disney? aka no "saving" seats.

They were hardcore on it in 2021 and 2022 with a CM at the entrance to the seating area. Unless you had food you were not getting in. It was a very inflexible policy with no give. My handicapped wife has an ECV, so she had no problem waiting while I got the food. None of the people saving seats were elderly. Actually most of them were pretty young... The oldest was probably my age. She was taking up a table for 4. We were nearly done with ours when her husband brought their food. It was just the two of them. Meanwhile a family of 5 or 6 was huddled around a table for two, and we were eating at a trash can. When the family left, they offered us their table, and we sat there until a couple with food came because we knew as soon as we left, someone without food was going to steal that table. So we waited and when people came looking for a table and they actually had food, we gave them our table. Two other families ended up sharing a large table. But there were around 10 tables and 5 of them had people sitting there with feet propped up on chairs, playing on phones. They were hardcore on it in 2021 and 2022 with a CM at the entrance to the seating area. @fractal Don't you have the names for these groups of people??Why is it that whichever way I walk, everyone else is walking the other way and not leaving any space for people going in the opposite direction? I actually purposely bumped into someone earlier because I was walking as far to the right as I could and the people walking in the other direction didn't even want to leave enough space for one person... They just pushed through. So I made sure my arm made contact.
I stopped at the fish and chips window to get a cup of ice. There are two entrances. One to order and the other to pick up orders. I got there at the same time as a guy with a big double stroller, but he went to the order pick-up side instead of the order side. All I wanted was a cup of ice. The guy literally kept shoving his stroller forward to push in front of me as though he should be first when we got there at the same time. He literally used his stroller to cut in front of me and when I kept moving forward, he gave up and insisted on ordering at the pick up window just to be before me. He was determined that he was going to be first. I don't know what it is about a stroller that seems to make people think they have the right of way over everyone else.
