I got the humidifier runnin, but I'll explain why later.

For the daily MS News.....

-- I am very sorry to report this. I got 5 more rides on MS today, 2 on Gold, 1 on Green, and 2 on Blue. Now....heres what ticks me.....In my mind, I dont consider Fuge Green or Blue to be E-tickets. I mean, I went on Green, and it was aweful. Im not lying when I say this, but, you pulled no more than 1 G over your normal weight. I HATE Fuge Green. If you waited over a half hour for MS, make sure and make an effort and try to get in Red or Gold. Seriously, Green and Blue, have, no doubt in my mind, been toned down. I didnt ride red today, so Im hoping its still very intense. When riding green, its almost as though your just sitting there, watching the movie, feeling VERY little effects. Im very dissapointed at this, as, theres no reason it needed to be toned down, and yet, it has been:(
--The big glass X-2 Mural in the Queue has been taken out...I dont know why
--The cookies are missing again!!!!!:fork:
--Oh yes, and they were setting up MORE overflow queue.....
Its in the "EXIT ONLY" ramp, as your coming out of fastpass. They set up posts and ropes, then took them down
--When you get a Fastpass at TT, it gives you an "AD Pass" (advertisement for another attraction fastpass) for Mission Space
--They were also doing radio broadcasting across from the MS gift shop, I dont know what for though.

So..Im done at Space..Go over to TT, talk to Kenan a little bit, get off TT, and decide to get some pizza. The second I get in the electric umbrella, it starts POURING...

So, I eat, then go to AK....(Im soaked to the core at this point)

A couple things at AK...

--I dont know how many of you have seen it, but the DINOSAUR! sign really gets me. They had it lit up because of the dark rainclouds....and its a CHEAP,NEON-Las Vegas style sign...It was aweful.
--Everest has NOW GONE VERTICAL:sohappy: :sohappy: ....You can see the posts for the bottom of the mountain from Flame Tree.
--I also think I know (think is the key word there) where the path to Everest will be constructed.....If you walk into Asia, and turn right toward Kali....you go down to the end of that path, and there is a smoking area at the end of the path. Go all the way down to the end of the smoking area...You will see dozens of trees with those yellow tags on them, and I beleive that means that those trees will get bulldozed...Anyway, all the trees on both sides of the path have the tags on them. I believe thats the path that will take us to Everest, but it will be extended and made wider.
--Also, if you look on the sign at the end of the path, at the very top, it says something like "Mountain Treking", and has an arrow pointing to the area where I think the path will go.
--And, at the very end of that path...I was "mosy"ing around, waiting for one of the Imagineering tags to "fall" off, and all of the sudden, the ground starts smoking...I look down, and all of the mushrooms got this smoke comin out of them....I got away from it right away, cause I didnt know what the heck that stuff was.
--I also got to see the new baby elephant on Kilimanjaro...It doing good, and its SOOO cute
:hammer:

And thats it...if I remember anything else, I will post it:) ]

I might just write to Disney if they tone down the Red & Gold Fuges. I sware, Green must really suck or they are just tweeking it.

I presume there aren't plans at MS to say ' for a less intense ride take Fuge x'

If they do that at least it would give us hardcore thrill riders the chance to get on the most intense fuges.Otherwise i can't understand your reports, just like you.

Great news on Everest and great investigation :)

Hope you didn't inhale the mushroom smoke :S

Thanks for the info and i hope you dried up :D

Er...it was about a 20 minute line all day today, or atleast, while I was there. You can tell what fuge your going into because, your preshow, or ready room, is color coded

Great update, Patrick!!! I'm only disappointed to hear that Fuge Green is less intense :( . Too bad we're not Imagineers... Then we would have had enough sense to make different queues for Fuges of different intensities... .

Jus glad to hear you got away from the smoking mushrooms... Hope Disney notices that... Just imagine if too many people inhale too much smoke... We don't need another incident like the Yippie Invasion on Disneyland... :lookaroun  :lookaroun

the radio broadcast was 94.9 Zeta, a South Florida and the Palm Beaches "new rock alternative" station. i happened to catch part of the broadcast while i was in miami the past few days. i was driving around and was surprised to hear the DJ say something like "I'm broadcasting live outside the new Disney ride Mission: SPACE at Epcot! Everyone should come on up here and check out this ride! It's awesome!"

Great post as usual, 1stcrew! As for the mushrooms, after it rains (and especially in humid areas such as Florida) mushrooms will release their spores into the air. A few particular genus of fungi exhibit this phenomenon which can be easily visualized...from which can be deduced that you ran across one of those types. Nothing to worry about (probably better that you didn't stick you nose down there and breathe it in).

Great update (mushroom smoke-LOL!) By the way, Y-100 in Miami was also broadcasting live from Mission:Space today, I caught it on the radio, they said "Grab a Play 4 Days Pass and get up here and try this out!"

Why would they "tone-down" the Green and Blue 'fuges? What would they possibly want to acheive by doing this? Seems like they would try and keep all the 'fuges the same so that everyone receives the intended experience.

Well, blue needed to be toned down, because it was downright dangerous. It was the most nausiating of the fuges and and this loud banging noise during the zero-G scenes. Luckily, Patrick and I had strong stomachs and weren't affected too much by that, but it coulda made some people really sick. I hope they at least leave red as it is, the best.

Well, from what I saw, footers, or whatever there called, were put in the ground, and it looks as though ALOT of this attraction will be underground, cause they have a giant pile of dirt over to the right, which has been dug up

They have to dig the foundations deep in the ground. The mountain itself should be about 200 feet high
