That's true for me with any vacation. We do a lot of non-Disney travel as well and it definitely helps to have a vacation planned, any time.
Before I no longer had Mondays, i.e., retired, the last couple of work days before our trip seemed to last about 48 hours each. "Hurry up and get here departure day!" And the afternoon of the last day at work before our trip, I quite frankly was thinking of other things than finishing that spreadsheet and setting my auto out of office reply for my e-mail and updating my voice mail message. And my packing list would grow to 2 pages so I'd have that conversation, "Do I really need to pack every Disney t-shirt I own? And won't 3 pairs of ears be okay? I can always buy another there." And the night before we leave, there's the phone call from my daughter "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!" (yes, she is shouting in my ear on the phone)
The good thing for me is that even though I live out of state it's only a 7 hour drive to Disney for me, so it's not as hard for me because I know that if I needed just a day in Disney really bad it's not too tough on me to drive down for a day or two. Don't get me wrong though it's still depressing. As much as I am excited right now I'm already a little upset sometimes knowing that we will be leaving lol. I feel bad for all of you that live so far that you almost have to fly. That's got to be tough. I couldn't imagine lol.
absolutelyIt seems to me like work and everything else in "the real world" seems a little easier to handle and it's hard to get worried or upset when a Disney World trip is coming. Is this true for everyone or is the struggle real whether Disney is coming or not. I personally am just in a better mood with my trip only 62 days away. What's your thoughts.
July 6 for us. woo hooIt's all we can think about , July 22nd !!! Can't wait!
