Is your daily life different with a Disney trip planned

Yes! I'm 51 days out and had some stuff going on but when I got to 60 and did the fast passes it made my normal thinking about my trip worse and now it's all disney, all the time! I can't stop thinking about it!

Yes... from the moment I wake up I'm thinking what would I be doing if I was in my resort room right now, then think about boarding the bus and traveling to a park, then imagine going on my favorite rides, eating my park snacks and restaurant meals. By the time my actual trip day arrives, in my mind, I've been to WDW 200+ days.
When I'm working if a customer is irritating me on the phone or in person, no big deal....I am thinking... la,la,la I'm going to Disney. Yes life is more manageable and worth living when a Disney trip is in the works. :joyfull:

I happily go on a diet and up my exercise in anticipation of the trip (the only time I'm ever happy to do so!)

The more fit I am, the more Mickey Mouse ice cream bars I can eat guilt-free :) . 24 Days and counting!
I'm 49 days out and am doing the exact same thing! My coworkers think I'm nuts for getting into "Disney shape " and not for a Disney run. I tried explaining it to them that it's like Scout boot camp where you hike 10+ miles a day in 90 degree heat carrying a pack, limited sleep, and running from activity to activity. I leave out the great food, ambiance, and soft bed, but it's way more exertion than most of them experience in an average week back home.

Absolutely. Having something to look forward always helps, but having a Disney trip to look forward to puts everything into a fresh, exciting perspective. I find ways to relate everything to a smell, place, food, etc in the park and it just gets me more and more excited. Counting down the days, daydreaming about which ride I'd like to be on at that moment, listening to park music... it's all such a happy feeling in the days and months leading up to a trip. And unbearably sad when it's over. LOL

Yes. I'm planning my budget differently. Among other things, I'm eating out less and eating home more which is saving me money. It also has the added benefit of being a lifestyle change where I am eating better and losing weight albeit slowly. When I get to Disney, believe or not, even with ADRs I still lose weight by the time I get home because of all the walking I'm doing.

Also, I'm still kicking it on my Visa card and have it almost paid off in time for my next trip in May. But that's okay. I have my salaried income and supplemental income from an extra consulting job I do.

But what you're getting at is, yes, I'm in a better mood because I am constantly planning and massaging my upcoming trip. I have something to look forward to.

Although I do not have a trip planned, like you (and others) I do start to budget differently once I get the 'taste' to go back to WDW. Taking on extra gigs works for me. Right now, all of my tutoring money is being banked for Disney. Just thinking of Disney puts me in a better mood!! :)

Before I no longer had Mondays, i.e., retired, the last couple of work days before our trip seemed to last about 48 hours each. "Hurry up and get here departure day!" And the afternoon of the last day at work before our trip, I quite frankly was thinking of other things than finishing that spreadsheet and setting my auto out of office reply for my e-mail and updating my voice mail message. And my packing list would grow to 2 pages so I'd have that conversation, "Do I really need to pack every Disney t-shirt I own? And won't 3 pairs of ears be okay? I can always buy another there." And the night before we leave, there's the phone call from my daughter "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!!!!!!" (yes, she is shouting in my ear on the phone) :)

I, too, have the Disney t-shirt issue.... lol

Oh, I like that!!

Let's see:
Mickey: Black, White, Charcoal Gray, Purple, Green, Red, Royal Blue, Periwinkle Blue, Light blue, Teal
Grumpy: Navy Blue, Gray

I noticed with Teal that Mickey's pants are no longer red but the color of the shirt. But it's the same cost -- $39.95. In other words, they're making more money. Less cost to make it because no longer using red thread but charging the same.

I've been buying them up anyway. I'm waiting for a light yellow both for my Dad and for me.

We don't have a disney trip planned but we'll be going on a cruise in September. As excited as I am to go, we had a long hard winter and I don't want to wish my summer away!!! I'm hoping for long lazy summer days and when September gets here I'll be ready:). I do have some diet and fitness goals to reach towards for the summer though. Although I'd like to reach them with or without a cruise.

We always seem to have one, if not two trips booked for the future and it is an escape from the daily work and schedule headaches that we face. We currently have a June and August trip on our reservations and are still in the planning portion of our Christmas trip, which we are hoping for free dining. Our August trip was a bounce back and that includes free dining. This greatly reduced my stress worrying about when/if it will be coming out. Disney is our great escape from our daily grind. We are far enough from home that work cannot affect us and we can concentrate on running ourselves ragged and having fun!

WITHOUT A DOUBT! Seeing that Disney is our escape from the "real world", each pending trip serves as a reminder that there will soon be that "release" of the pressures of daily life. Our "next trip" always serves a the finish line that's just around the corner and motivates us to run it out and keep going. This is why we usually call and begin booking our next trip the week following our last.

My up coming trip is only 15 days away and I have definitely found myself humming music from the parks more than I normally would! I haven't been there for 3 years and every time I think about it I start to tear up a little!

Looking good! I don't mind the same-color-pants-as-the-polo, but I do think I like the red pants better. Like you, I would still purchase and wear both.

This past winter I wore a polo/sweatshirt with Mickey embroidered on the shoulder to work on a Friday (just like in the picture). Anyhow, I received so many compliments on it. As the School Resource Officer said to me: "You can't help but smile when you see a Mickey Mouse on a shirt." Seeing your enthusiasm for polo's made me think of this comment. Imagine how many smiles you get! :)
