Is Walt Disney World rides and attractions just for toddlers and little kids?

Just curious if all Disney World's themed rides and amazing attractions that they have to offer are all for little kids and kids that are like 13-16? Or are their some fun attractions and rides that are for young adults and older adults. Let's just say for example I am 23...are their any decent and good attractions and thrill rides that would be suitable for a 23 year old?

Well, I'll try to answer this in a more civilized way.

Universal Orlando is more for the thrill-seekers in the Orlando area. Each Disney park has a few "thrills" but is more geared to experiences than thrills.

Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain
Epcot: Mission:Space, Test Track
DHS: Rock n Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours
Animal Kingdom: Dinosaur, Everest, Kali River Rapids

Universal Studios: Mummy, MIB, Simpsons, Rip-Ride-Rockit
Islands of Adventure: Hulk, Spider-Man, Fearfall, Dudley Do-Right, Popeye, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Dueling Dragons, Harry Potter.

Now, those may or may not be all thrilling to you and other attractions not listed may be thrilling for you but this gives you an idea.

If you enjoy being in immersive environments, full of details to appreciate, you'll have a blast at WDW. It's unbeatable in that respect.

If you are a thrill junkie, you'll probably be disappointed. There are thrills here and there, but WDW is not really about that.

It's for those who have imaginations. For us older folks who love to see the faces of young ones when they walk through that entrance and see Main Street and get their first view of that castle.

No, WDW is not for you just yet. Wait a few years until you have children, or even better, when you have grandchildren, then bring them. You'll have your answer then, my friend, you have your answer then.

20 years ago, Disney World was a place that entertained adults and children.

Now it's a place better suited for the under-18 crowd.

Did you find the question, if WDW was only for children under what, 7 years ("toddlers and little kids") more civilized? I found it quite provoking.

To be perfectly honest, I took it as a person who has never been to WDW asking if it was right for his age group. Most, if not all, of WDWs promotions show children and families so I can understand where the question was coming from.

It's easier and less abrasive to just answer a question that's asked instead of assuming that the question was posted to prod. Even if it was intended to provoke, if you just honestly answer, the provoker doesn't get the satisfaction.

WDW has something for everyone. I would suggest not going by yourself but with a group. Group of friends, a family or even a couple. There is something to be enjoyed by all. Whether you like to reminisce your childhood in fantasyland, recall the days of the old west in frontierland, embrace your historian in liberty square, or search for adventure in adventureland.

When people usually think of Disney World they immediately see the castle, dumbo and its a small world but there is so much more! I have gone nearly every year with my family and I can't wait to go back every time.

Two years ago my brother and I went to Disneyland during our trip out to the Rose Bowl Game and we had a blast, we didn't do Fantasyland because it was enormously crowded back there on New Year's Eve, but when we discuss all of our trips to Disney parks we both agree that that was our favorite. Two 20 year olds just having fun at Disney.

Also on another trip while at WDW I met up with some friends from college who came down with their respective families and went to Hollywood studios -- we rode tower of terror at least 15 times that night. Anyone can have fun at the World.

I agree to a certain extent. Sure for entertainment wise (with PI) but as far as attractions go there was no Rock N Roller Coaster, Tower Of Terror, Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Test Track, Mission: Space, Splash Mountain

I would say as far a attractions go Disney has come a long way with thrills. But IMHO they could use more.

Watching Dinosaurs eat each other, launching into space under the exertion of 2 Gs, and watching Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling are pretty mature concepts for rides. There are plenty of attrations for adults.

In my opinion, in the early 70's...yes, it was geared towards the much younger crowd. Now that couldn't be farther from the truth - so much so I'm going by myself in September and I am well above the errrrr I'm older then teens - let's just leave it at that LOL You'll love it! Just go and embrace everything around you to include the rides, shows, sights, sounds, cast members and people watching. Have a blast!

To the original poster, put it this way. I am 30 years old. I first went when I was 10. I loved it. Magic Kingdom was very much the same in 1991 that it is today. A few things have changed like the addition of Splash Mountain since then, but the core is very similar.

Then I went again when I was 14, 16 and 21. Then 29 and then 30. I won't lie to you, the place got better as I got older. The more I learned about the history of Disney, and Walt himself the more I loved it. The more I noticed the attention to detail the more I loved it. The more I searched for hidden mickeys the more I loved it. There are a million things at Disney that are superior to your average Six Flags park. I leave the Magic Kingdom in a borderline state of depression similar to leaving a friend who lives far away and not knowing when you'll see him/her again. I have yet to experience a park that can "get" me like that

I love most of the rides at WDW and dont feel bad if I miss any. I go to WDW enough to where I can afford to miss some of the rides I dont get to do, like Peter Pan, for example. WDW is something you either like or you dont. I feel that the way WDW is, in terms of theming for every ride, they do a pretty good job. Every ride has a different theme and I find that awesome.
