Where are they going to be located in the parks? Certainly they aren't going to take up space on the walk ways.
Florida in a tent in the summer can't be fun. I wonder if you could bring your own portable a/c or fans and a generator to run them so you could get cooled down or if they would charge you extra to bring that in the parkGuys, can you please stop calling them cabanas? They're tents. With no AC. For $650.
You can't bring your own generator or AC unit into the park... but you can rent Elsa's Magical Iced Air Dispenser® from them for only $500/hour.Florida in a tent in the summer can't be fun. Well they sell those hand fans but even if you could bring a portable, big plug in fan into the park (unlikely) it's not like you could security lock it up in the tents for when you're gone.Florida in a tent in the summer can't be fun. Wait a second, these tents aren't furnished with safes? Were am I going to stow my diamond tiara while I ride Space Mountain? OMG, I may have to cancel my tent reservation.Well they sell those hand fans but even if you could bring a portable, big plug in fan into the park (unlikely) it's not like you could security lock it up in the tents for when you're gone.

I think these do actually have some sort of item secure stowing capacity.Wait a second, these tents aren't furnished with safes? Were am I going to stow my diamond tiara while I ride Space Mountain? OMG, I may have to cancel my tent reservation.
Is there an upcharge for secure stowing capacity? Maybe the tent can be locked. Ha haI think these do actually have some sort of item secure stowing capacity.
I... Think it was actually a box you can lock up. I'm recalling what CNN said about it a couple days ago.Is there an upcharge for secure stowing capacity? Maybe the tent can be locked. Ha ha

I'll bet you can. But, for $700. a day they can afford a guard to watch the tents, not the con-tents. Unless they do, what is to stop people that never heard of the tents, the vast majority I would suspect) now think it was just a nice place to get out of the sun and sit for a spell. I don't think this was thought out completely. But, time will tell. But aren't CMs standing guard to make sure only people who pay for the tents use them? Or can you return to your tent to find it filled with hobo squatters?
Don't use black light.I will never look at those tents in the same light again. Yuck!
Listened to @lentesta 's most recent disney dish podcast. In it he stated that there were black cabana tents up in DHS near the GMR area. Has anyone else seen these there? I was assuming that was not a correct assumption on his part and the only cabanas that I have seen discussed here are the white ones in TL.
It's possible they could be for equipment, I suppose, although I'm not sure why so many of them would be needed (or why there wouldn't be a more permanent structure for that).
