Ok, again why is that dog allowed to be off of it's leash? And I am all for taking personal responsibilities for your allergies and such but this dog being in direct contact with the characters is not something I would think to be aware of. Let's say a child (or adult) has a dog allergy. Most people would do whatever they could to avoid a dog. Going up to a character and having your picture taken with them would not be on my list of something that would think to worry about having a bunch of dog hair. I would assume that Disney does a great job of keeping the costumes clean and they would not normally come into contact with a dog, even if the cast member owned a dog. But that dog was all over Tink and more then likely got hair on her dress. This could quickly ruin someone's trip through no fault of their own. Should those people now ask every meet and greet character if they have come in contact with a dog? And why is a "working" dog in it's vest acting as if it is play time? Disney should never allow cast members to interact with the dogs. They are supposed to be on duty after all.

Just wow. I can pretty much guarantee this is not an ACTUAL Service Dog. Also this is extreme bs that the dog is allowed to go up to characters and rub all over them. What if someone else had a severe allergy? You would literally ruin someones vacation. It's one thing for a service dog to walk around with their owner, but to interact with a character that thousands of people are going to be near is pretty ridiculous.

Just watching how the dog is all over Tinkerbell lifting his paws on her. I seriously wonder what a mother of a child with an allergy would be like when her kid waited all day to meet Tinker, but now they have to leave because of this dog interaction. I can't even imagine.

Also, I like how now in both of those videos this Nana person disabled comments when people started asking her about the dog.

The playing with the characters irked me to no end. If this is a service dog as claimed, they did a very poor job in training and do not follow what should be done with a working dog. It really bothered me to see a lot of this video. Also the costumes are a bit much too. It's like the dog is for show, not work. Not that they can't do as they please but it is a sign to me that they are not taking this seriously.

At the 1:00 mark, when the dog is running up the ramp, that is whats called "sports and agility" training and no legitimate service dog would train for this or even do it "for fun". And the dog also has an "In Training" decal on its harness which means it should be with a trainer when in a pubic area.

Yeah, that's not a legit service animal. A friendly and reasonably well trained pet, but not a service animal. I've seen them in action.

During the Princess 5k or 10k, I saw a runner who was hearing impaired running with her service animal. The dog had a vest on, was on a short leash and the runner had a bib on the back of her shirt indicating she was hearing impaired so runners would be careful around her. That dog paid little attention to anyone but its owner. And trust me, LOTS of runners spotted the dog and ran over to it. The two women running with her did a good job of stopping them from trying to pet the dog. The owner had put a little cape on it. And it was a beautiful animal. Everyone wanted a picture with her and her dog, including guests, race volunteers and CMs along the course cheering us on. And she was more than happy to allow some - the dog didn't jump on people or any of the behavior in that video. I met up again with her at the finish line - the race volunteers had given her dog a medal. That dog still ignored everyone but her. And it looked very tired.

Well because I am staying at Beach Club in 30 days and spent quite a bit of money for a vacation and I don't want dogs barking, running around the beach, lifting their leg, pooping and not having owners pick it up.

Service dogs are different. They are very well trained. They aren't hopping up on furniture, they aren't barking, they aren't lifting their leg whenever they feel like it.

I had my entire trip booked at Yacht Club because some co-workers of mine had their trips booked at that resort as well. When they got back earlier this year in February they told me that the CM's did not enforce where the dogs were allowed to go at the resort. They saw dogs on furniture in the lobby, and walking around on the main boardwalk and near the boardwalk door to the resort. The dogs are supposed to be in only certain designated areas. Needless to say I cancelled Yacht Club and ended up going with Beach Club because my kid loves that pool, or I would have stayed either at Boardwalk or somewhere else.

And I get irritated when people try to take advantage of the Service Dog system so they can bring their pets to the resort. So yes the video really bothered me. Just being honest.
FWIW, I stayed at the YC in April and did not see a single dog, anywhere, and we were there for a week.

Just got back from the YC. Never saw a dog in the lobby but I did see something very strange. Twice I saw two different people walking their dog on the boardwalk in front of the YC. I thought was verboten but I guess I was wrong.

Last fall I was staying at the BC and saw several dogs being walked on the boardwalk. I think people will do whatever they want to do until someone with authority tells them not to.

Does Disney have a "No Dogs Allowed on Property" rule (except service dogs), or are they just not allowed in the parks and resort buildings? For example, if a local (or someone staying off-property in a pet friendly hotel) wants to take a stroll on the boardwalk with their dog, is that allowed? What about if someone is visiting a friend staying at a resort, can they bring their dog to visit? I tried to find an answer to these questions on the website, but couldn't find any info.
