Is there any update on SSE ending rumors?

It could be that those were set up for the previous version and were never removed...
Not really - there was just one for the SSE model, and it would indeed be behind the curtain.

I got the impression last year it was a stop gap to illuminate what few triangles existed there at that time, before the backup illumination we have now seen was switched on.

That's what I was thinking as well.

Just curious why your adament that its 100% done, when two others in the know are saying otherwise?

I'm not going to rehash the otehr thread here, but how often has Disney taken 18+ months to complete something as trivial as a ending to ride? After it's been refurbed and reopened?

Um, never.

Like I've said before, I don't doubt Lee or Martin and what they've been told. I think it's bad info this time. Which happens.

If I may, how often has a major multimedia project, in a space difficult to access even with ride closure and tied to an already operational ride, had to be installed in a few hours per night of available downtime?

Never.

Lee/Martin,

Please do not take my observations personally.. I believe both of you to be 100% credible, and I know that what you say is true.. Your sources are not in doubt ..

I guess patience is a virtue :)..... I'm just hoping a new finale will return the ending of SSE to it's former glory.... I really miss a butterfly turning into a spaceship, and distant video conversations taking place.. etc, etc... hopefully whats behind curtain #1 will be superior, or at the very least, equal to what we had before..

Honestly, I think the ride is MOST damaged by judi dench's narration... it's not 'epic' enough...

Oh we`re not, no worries. Well, I`m not anyways :D

Believe me, I`ve been questioning this whole episode myself. I more than anyone wants to see a fitting finale to the attraction, and I`ll be the first to shout all the way to guest relations - and a few other places - if it is abandoned. I`ve heard nothing about the latter happening, BTW.

What it all comes down to is we need something at the end. Almost anything will do...

I've said it on here a few times... they should have other people's images on the triangles so you can see what your fellow riders look like in the future, and then have an instrumental version of tomorrow's child playing in the background.

Perhaps they bit off more then they could chew this time? :animwink:

I just don't see it taking this long. That's all I'm saying. I trust you guys. And I kind of want to see Lee get all geared up. :drevil:

And maybe thats how it will be eventually, but at the same time Im not sure I can see that happening with the video that plays in the vehicles with the cartoon narration. Either that will be changed, or it will remain as is but with added images overhead. But new music with that cartoon narration just doesnt seem like it would flow together.
And I want to be very wrong on this but what are the chances of that cartoon changing on the monitors? I would love to see it go but.....
