Jim Korkis who is a Disney historian worked at the studios at the time and he was told it was going to be temporary. Obviously it wasn't.
It's being taken down now, so technically speaking it was "temporary".

If that's the definition we're going with for "temporary", then I guess the Old Poly Fountain was temporary too, huh? It's being taken down now, so technically speaking it was "temporary".

The art deco detail work on the construction walls gives me a little but of hope. Or are these just leftover walls shipped in after DCA's redo?
hhmmmm...... I seem to remember being the person who made that
Doesn't matter. A water tower is part of Hollywood and the park will ALWAYS have aspects of Hollywood. If the new theme won't be a "studios" theme, what's the big deal about the water tower? How would the water tower even be relevant? Maybe I'm missing something. I don't get it.

There's still a ton of Hollywood in DCA. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Unless it doesn't. Maybe they will redo the entire park and turn it into a DCA type of park. DFA. I doubt this, but it might be nice. All I am saying is that Disney may take the park in a completely different direction than "Hollywood".

I understand... but with the entrance the way it is AND the Great Movie Ride... Earful could easily stick around at the front of the park.Because of where it is located. Hollywood isn't in Florida. Not arguing here, but I just think that they may go another route. Who knows. The park stay unidentifiable as a theme from here on out.

It doesn't look like ANY work was done overnight.

Not sure...looks the same as yesterday as far as the spiral to me. Could be wrong though, my phone brightness is terrible. It looks as they removed the higher pieces of the weird spiral thingy inside the hat.
We are all temporary, nothing and no one is ever permanent. On a long enough timeline, everything is temporary.
I know a lot of work didn't happen last night being the weekend and marathon related activity and set up.It doesn't look like ANY work was done overnight.
Ah, that's true, forgot about the marathon this weekend. Hopefully we'll see some good dismantling next week, this is excitingI know a lot of work didn't happen last night being the weekend and marathon related activity and set up.
Well, that is just plain unacceptable and so indicative of what Disney has become. They need to work that job 24 hours a day for as long as it takes. There are people on the outside that are wringing their hands and popping Rolaids, due to anxiety as they wait to hear the crash as that "thing" hit's the ground.I know a lot of work didn't happen last night being the weekend and marathon related activity and set up.
