Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

I haven't been on here much lately and i dont have time to read back through all these pages. I know there were rumors that the hat would be moving somewhere else. What's the latest on this?

Some of the larger images out there show how worn the hat really is after all these years. It's not even in good enough condition to donate to charity. (Per wdwmagic: Hat Size (as wardrobe) - The hat is a size 605 and 7/8 ... maybe the new King Kong at Universal could have used it? )

Now, that might not keep Disney from creating a new one someplace else if they want to. I certainly can see them using one just outside the gates as an exterior shop like other parks have. Or, as has been suggested, in near Fantasmic would be good too (if you do this Disney, please make it a bit smaller)

I saw some great aerial shots when the tip was removed. Would love to see another fly over to see what's happening down there. Anyone own a plane? A bot? A hot air balloon?

Same angle we have seen but the lighting is different - looks like there's nothing left inside the hat.

It looks awful. Just awful. Another piece of Magic bites the dust. Sounds like a lot of people are happy - and I'll just keep to myself the famous DeGenX quote that I'd like to say.

Fantasia was ripped apart by the "artsy fartsy" crowd. But making things up seems to be par for your course.
You are wrong, as usual. Of course it had its critics. However, the most influential and well read film critics of the day were mostly very positive. Most of the negative critics were classical music critics, not film critics.

Still wrong. You can make up whatever justification or personal spin you want but the FACT is that it was put up for the 100 Years of Magic events. That is all. The only justification for it staying was photo ops and pin shop.
Which makes it perfectly appropriate. Pins are big I tell you! Or, at least they used to be. Now that the pin frenzy has declined it makes sense to remove the BAH. I kind of wish Mickey watches would come back into vogue.

Not very powerful now is it?
Of course it is. It's living rent free in the minds of all its detractors. Many years from now old folks will tell the story of the BAH and children will listen with delight. With all the photos that have been taken of the BAH and the in depth discussions on the net, the BAH will live forever. And, of course, various Disney historians will tell widely different stories about it's creation and its demise. It's always interesting to see how churlish people can be when discussing Disney topics that dredge up such emotion.
