I can tell you exactly when it'll happen. Our DHS day in the 22nd. That's when the crane will go up. It'll be lovely behind all my Memory Maker photos on the Blvd that day. :)

I never went to the park when they were promoting the gravestones, but I thought people generally only bought those pictures as a memorial to deceased loved ones? I guess you could put yourself on a remembrance memorial though, why not! As long as Disney got paid I'm sure they didn't mind whose picture was on there!

I got a picture as it was free as part of our Disney package (the old Flex Feature)...

Reading the news about the pool refurbishment at Art of Animation just gave me a thought that the BAH could be moved there if they have room for it on the grounds. All the values have larger than life statutes of characters and things anyway.

Are they doing demolition during park hours or only at night? Wasn't sure if the demolition of the golden spiral thingy beneath the hat started last night and stopped or is on-going since this morning...

No, the idea was creating lasting memories of your trip to WDW during the Millennium so that you could find your little portrait on your later visits.

Of course, there was at least one kid that saw it as a place to put Charmander stickers because I remember finding one on one of the stones on my first trip to WDW during the Millennium Celebration.

Do we know if they are actually tearing it apart and destroying it, or carefully removing it to be placed somewhere else?
