Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

It was 20 years from when it was purchased so they could start disappearing on October 1st 2019. Also when they were purchased you agreed that they could be moved anywhere on WDW property. I don't see them moving them though.

It'd be cool to see these banners still up..But, they were taken down..

It would be cool if the great little display room was still open.
Always hoped it would become a rotating display that stayed.
A bit like 'One Man's Dream' over at DHS, but of course containing all EPCOT related memorabilia.

That was a fine little showroom they had set up for the 25th.

Last time I was there I looked through the slit of the door all of the signs are still up after they removed that backdrop during the time they moved the Character spot there temporarily..

I'm willing to bet that the BAH is coming down not because of the likes of us (that don't care for it) but rather that it needed more work than it was worth, perhaps in maintenance - or Disney has something else up their sleeves... Just a hunch.

As for the tombstones @ EC, ugh. The sooner those ridiculous things go away, the better. I say screw the "legacy" and just refund everyone so they can haul 'em out starting tomorrow! Who's with me?! :D

In some instances, you are correct. Certain academic matters, particularly hard sciences, immediately spring to mind. However, I think matters of aesthetic taste, particularly for an amusement park featuring a talking mouse, are far more subjective.
If this is the case then there is no point in a team of people dedicated to designing theme parks. It's amazing how often people jump to dismissing the legitimacy of themed entertainment instead of trying to validate a point. Would you listen to the political thoughts of someone who claimed politics are of no big importance?

I sort of agree with the hat coming down because it probably needed work and wasn't worth it, but at the same time, it's been said over the years that any plan to renovate DHS has included the hat removal. That's going back a while too, so who knows? Maybe it was also the sponsorship of TCM for the Great Movie Ride that finally pushed it. The timing would lead me to believe that was a part of the deal, but that's just my speculation.

I agree. I think it was already a possibility, and the TCM thing pushed it into reality.

I think it's more likely because of the sponsorship tie-in of Turner Classic Movies and Great Movie Ride. Can't promote the golden age of Hollywood movies with a hat blocking the Chinese Theatre. The Chinese Theatre alone screams old Hollywood.
