It doesn't bore me the first time I ride it after not being there in a long time, but after that ride I sometimes slowly start "resting my eyes."

Oh I definitely understand that my mom is the same way with The Great Movie Ride. Hopefully Michael won't take any offense I was just politely disagreeing with his "falling asleep on SE" theory

Sorry to hear the ride bores you. I myself do not find it boring and I am sure many are in agreement with me. Then again, that history is interesting to me, particularly the Renaissance, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. And SE presents that history with the link to communication so beautifully. Oh well.

I love history, infact it is my favorite subject I just dont need a ride for it

I like it because:
1. It's airconditioned
2. Great place to rest
3. Fun to laugh at the autotranslating video-phone part
4. Wonder what happened to the internet
5. good place to wait for a fasspass to be ready

The New Global Neighborhood announcement is no longer being played (it was not played on my visit 4/4). Additionally, the "AT&T - bringing people together anytime, anywhere" sign has been 'modified'. The AT&T logo is now covered up by a small sheet or bag.

The Time Racers idea was part of the project Gemini SE total make over. Now it has been downgraded to just the post show, where simulators are rumoured to be installed as part of said post show. The Spiderman ride system was a strong RUMOUR knocking around these boards, and others, a while back.

I am thrilled to hear that the idea of changing the attraction itself has been scrapped. SE is my favorite attraction at Walt Disney World and I would be thoroughly bummed if they changed it, but I certainly don't mind it getting a new post-show.

They had better not change SE. Why do they always have to mess with the classics! They have already taken away my WOM, Horizons, and JII, leave me at least ONE of the classics.
And, this post show everyone is talking about, is it supposed to be one of those hydraulic dohickies? They already have too many of those.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now.

I agree 100%. I was furious when they got rid of Horizons. I would be devestated if they ever got rid of SE. I ride that at least 5 times every trip. It'd be like closing down Space Mountain.

Unfortunately some people do not "love" history nor do thier children. This ride gives a very nice overview of communication and a nice learning experience for everyone.

We cant forget that learning is what Epoct was created for. If Disney wanted to create thrill rides he would have just opened up another Cedar Point and built some tired roller coasters. He thought America needed and demanded more then that which is what Epoct was about....

Just my opinion :)

Well hey blackride I am in complete agreement with your opinion  I can't say this is my favorite park because I love them all equally but my family definitely find that EPCOT is their favorite because of the fact that the rides are fun, interesting, and hey wouldn't you know it they're doggone educational too :D

I know they were there in 1995 but I am not sure about any other time.

It was called " Ride the Network"
