Rumor Is Indiana Jones Planning an Adventure to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

Eh, the queue of Indy at Disneyland is ridiculously, obnoxiously long. It is only that way out of necessity due to where the actual ride is housed. It could easily be a small fraction of the length and be just as immersive. Most of it is a long walk in the dark.
The DisneySea version has a much simpler queue mainly focused around one large room

Something that has been on my mind: You think the company that bases attractions on their hot new movie would build something with an entirely unrelated story to the film that it will be opening alongside? Seems odd.

Ya’ll who think Black Panther fits DAK epitomize the “ill take anything that is fun who cares about theme” whether you think you do or not.

For what it's worth.. when that user, TheVisionarySoul, wrote "Wakanda Forever" that basically started everyone talking about a possible Black Panther ride, he was replying to someone talking about the shanghai potc tech going to epcot and what IP skin would be attached. I took it that he was talking about Wakanda and Black Panther somehow being attached to an Africa pavilion. Much as like Arendale (a made up place) being attached to Norway.

So if you read into his hint a little more, I don't think he was ever saying Black Panther to DAK.
Now, whether you think Black Panther fits in an Africa pavilion in Epcot is a WHOOOOOLE different argument :)

Nothing changes the fact that WDW can’t use Black Panther. They could theoretically build a Wakanda pavilion without T’Challa but why?

Yup, sadly, I know.
In my original post I said if there was a way somehow that they could do it, I'd be very surprised and happy, as I am someone, unlike many on this forum it seems, who really enjoys the MCU and would love more of it in Disney parks.

I love the MCU and Wakanda, just not sure where it belongs. It's not really about animals, it's a fictional place. The place it best seems to fit would be DHS, which is apparently now about being 'inmersed in the worlds of movies'

Well if they go the route of "fake place (Arendale) in Norway" then they could easily do Wakanda in an Africa pavilion at Epcot. Don't know how well that would blow over with fans though lol

DHS would be the place to go for all MCU properties (though I'd make a case for Tomorrowland), but that won't ever happen.

Well for me there's more to the MCU and movies in general than the characters. It's the worlds they build. Theme parks IMO should focus on the worlds and not the characters.

Well, imho, Marvel as a property and the Disney theme parks as the top of the line themed works of art that they are deserve better than shoehorns that don’t fit in any way shape or form. Black Panther in Epcot would be a disservice to the IP and to the the park.

I have to disagree on this. Frozen is presented in the Norway pavilion as a country’s folk tale come to life. Black Panther is about a hyper technologically advanced, secret, quasi-El Dorado-esque environment.....in Africa. You can argue Frozen being in Norway in one way but that argument doesn’t apply to the TOTAL 180 that is Black Panther in an Africa pavilion. Also, Animal Kingdom has the best “Epcot” style pavilion of Africa and it would be redundant to have to largely similar things. I respect you opinion tho.

How to make Black Panther fit in Epcot is simple. Disney has gone on record saying that the theme park rides take place in a universe where the characters actually have come to the park itself and know they’re in a theme park so the answer here is quite simple. As part of their Wakandan outreach program they’ve decided to partner up with Disney and add Wakanda to World Showcase. It could also go in Adventureland or Animal Kingdom (yeah, come at me) but first we just need to deal with that pesky contract. That last bit kind of stinks because it prevents the one Marvel property that could really fit Epcot from coming. Of course I’m talking about Stark Expo.

The Indy queue is amazing. So much detail and it feels like you're really going deep into this temple. Plus, the long queue was certainly justified as the first year or so lines filled the entire temple, base camp, and spilled out all the way to Adventureland's entrance. Now, due to the fastpass merge point, they stupidly keep a lot of the interior queue empty so people just blaze through it once let into the Temple. The same thing happened to Disneyland's Space Mountain. Great queue which builds up the attraction kept empty so guests can run through it.

Yanny or Laurel? I'm in the camp that would rather have Indy's presence increased at DHS rather then AK. Would be nice if the tired Indy stunt show was updated with an enclosed building rather then open air (air conditioning please). Add enhanced new projection FX and sets and make it a straight up stunt action show with a story rather then a "making of". As for a new ride next to it, I've always thought it would be cool to combine the best elements of the Indy ride at DL/TDS with a portion that goes outside like DLP.

I'm just glad that after all these years there's finally talk of a rumored Indy ride coming to WDW!
