But there are animals in both countries. Problem solved. Lol

Btw, there's no such thing as trolls either, but damned if they weren't part of the maelstrom infomercial, err, attraction featuring Norway.
Right, and that was tied into Norwegian storytelling and mythology. An argument could be made that the Snow Queen also ties into Norwegian story telling but the treatment of the ride's story doesn't do that. Frozen Ever After is a better ride than Maelstrom, but Maelstrom was a better fit for the space.

It's called mythology and folklore.

An integral part of any culture.

Except for the fact that the original Snow Queen fairytale is of Danish origin and is mostly set in Finland with the Snow Queen's lair being found in Lapland.

Of course, since the story's main requirement is a cold setting, we've had versions transplanting the story into Russian and Inuit settings in addition to Frozen picking Norway.

Think of the mermaid clone. Crappy queue at DCA, great queue in MK. Now reverse it for Indy. .

Eh, the queue of Indy at Disneyland is ridiculously, obnoxiously long. It is only that way out of necessity due to where the actual ride is housed. It could easily be a small fraction of the length and be just as immersive. Most of it is a long walk in the dark.

The last few pages of this thread have made me realize that if it wasn't for people constantly belly-aching and pearl clutching about what they think belongs where and what doesn't, the volume of posts on this forum would be cut in half, and the blood pressure of the average poster would be significantly reduced. I honestly think for some it is a pathological problem at this point.

I've seen that ridiculously long queue completely full in the past, stretching down past jungle cruise. Apparently it was/ is necessary sometimes.

You should try a Six Flags forum if you don't care about theme

Unless you are talking when it opened, then it was partially closed and/or people were being held back for some reason. It is very well documented that the length of the queue is for logistical reasons (going under the railroad, etc.). In any case, I was talking about the "immersive quality" of it - that "length" doesn't automatically mean "quality" and a smaller space doesn't mean they couldn't do just as good of a job with it.
