Hop, MK mornings on party days are fantastic, DHS and Epcot are a little more crowded but not too bad, and worth dealing with so I can watch HEA on a non party night. However, MK mornings of parties can be wonderful with short waits through about 12-1pm.
That'll be different if a lot of people take the free hopper upgrade.

Just a quick question for those more plugged in to what’s going on with dining. I’m heading down Jan 6th for a week and I can’t make reservation for those dates yet but looking at Jan 3rd I can’t find reservations anywhere. I thought people where wasting you could find dining easily?

Should I be concerned I’m in for a Nightmare when it’s time for me to make reservations in a few days?

Jan 3rd will still be absolute peak crowds as New Years Eve falls on a Tuesday, so many people will stay through the end of the week. The crowds should be MUCH better by the 6th.

Remember that is Marathon week. Things are going to be busier than they are, say, this week.

I was able to get everything I wanted at the times I wanted in December. I think by Jan 6th you’ll be fine.

New years eve crowds have rather unimpressive recently…but I’ve only been there the last 3…so I’m sure that’s just me
I agree. New Year's Eve crowds have been extremely light post-Covid, but I've only been going for a little over ten years. Compared to the crowds I have photos of and remember, the parks are deserted on New Year's Eve (and the Eve Eve).

Crazy how it was once so busy that Epcot would have a bypass walkway near Figment AND around Test Track!

Nobody believes me…but I was in magic kingdom in 1989…and Epcot on 12/31/99 (among other years)…and there were roughly as many people there as the battle of Gettysburg (happier though…at least some)

we were there a "busy week".... although i do believe a pile of people cancelled.. oct 12th.. week.. in fact 12 days.. but even the last few days , we never used a lightning lane... YES we did early entry, but that was it ..we did not use a sit down service.. and we were 'told" you had to get reservations first.. how ever at least twice there was a wink and a smile with that and if we wanted to get in immediately we could.. if we went to our disney app... most of the days disney scored the park we were at as a 7 or an 8...
