Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Most won't notice it cause even attendance down 5-10% will still look and feel busy. For those in Burbank they feel it revenue wise.

Where you can tell is the availability for dining and resorts.
I think you’re right. Disney Springs was packed on Saturday and Sunday but that’s probably because it was the weekend.

Blizzard Beach was very crowded today but that’s probably because it was opening day for the season.

MK was very busy yesterday - there were almost no open tables at Columbia Harbor House and they aren’t all that popular. But that’s probably because it was Jersey week.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for lower crowds tomorrow.

as the park attendance has fallen some…springs has seemed more crowded.

Not behind a high paywall…simple deduction there

not having 2 parks open probably has a lot to do with that

Yep…all schools closed on Thursday…many shut down this whole week.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for lower crowds tomorrow.
I hope so…less is best (except for Bob)

I also have a party of 9. That may be what is making it more difficult.
Would definitely break this up into a group of 5/4. You probably need to coordinate with a member of your party to do this! (Depending on what mood the app is in.) Bolded because I didn’t want you to set an alarm to do the 6:00 am drop only to realize you can only put one reservation in your name. If you want a second reservation at an overlapping time, it needs to be under someone else’s account. If you have their login you can do it that way or you can text back and forth to select coordinating times.

(If that’s changed and anyone is aware, let me know.)

Well we’re at Epcot tonight. Got here around 6:00 pm and had to park pretty far back in the lot. That was unusual.

Epcot is definitely at least as busy as usual. We had a party of 1 at Biergarten and the place was full. Just for kicks I checked dining availability for 2 and only the less popular places were available. No Tutto, Space, Le Cellier, or buffets.

It’s probably because of Jersey Week, food and wine and Boyz to Men performing tonight.

It's also a run Disney weekend, which will increase crowds.

I went in early October, between the two hurricanes, and there were plenty of dining reservations available. Honestly, the only time it felt more crowded to me than our end of January trips was when we tried to watch the fireworks at MK on the one night we were at MK that wasn't a MNSSHP night. We'd gone in early October years ago, and our trip this time was definitely less crowded than it was then.

So Run Disney, Jersey week, food and wine on a Monday night and opening day for the season at Blizzard Beach.

We used to go in early October also but we switched to November because of the increasing number of hurricanes at the beginning of October. Maybe others did the same.

I’m not terribly surprised that a lot of dining reservations became available between the two hurricanes though.

This was a last minute trip - we didn't book it til mid September (before Helene hit), and there were plenty of reservations for every restaurant then too, and at normal eating times (not relegated to super early or late). I had my pick of times for Akershus for princess dining, even. I'm sure the hurricanes impacted the cancellations once we were there, but it wasn't just that 🤷‍♀️

Gate clicks are rebounding, with weekends especially working their way back towards previous seasonal averages.

Their work at the Springs - kicked off to appease high-paying tenants - has made an impact.

Resorts and TS dining are lagging without any real momentum in the right direction.

We'll be onsite at AKL this weekend for my birthday (first one that starts with a 4...) with a day at DHS Saturday. First time on property since March. I'm ready.

Attendance may be up but according to @PREMiERdrum resorts and dining are still empty. That's where the money is.
In my opinion -

Decades ago, because the ADR system was so broken, we would try to walk up, see EMPTY dining areas, but could not get in, could be broken again, plus LLMP, LLSP and LLPP are STEALING MONEY from other segments of the business

The perks to stay on site are GONE.

Are you on the "the parks are invincible" or "things are in the crapper" side of the waffle this week? It's hard to keep up.

What? CHH is one of MK's most popular dining locations, especially if you visited at lunch time.

In MK, right now at 1:20pm, it has the longest wait of all the Mobile Order options in MK. Most have immediate availability, but CHH is 30+min wait.

Yesterday was also the 1 weekday this week that MK was open later. On 11/1 (last Friday), 11/2, 11/3, 11/5, and 11/6 it closes at 10pm, and on 11/8 it closes at 6pm. The only other night it is open late is this upcoming Saturday.

So yesterday was likely the most crowded weekday to be in MK.

The parks are mobbed.
Someone said the hotels and restaurants business is down.
Just trying to apply some "Disney rationalization" to explain.

Things are in the crapper but TWDC and its theme parks are still invincible!

They can serve up any any crap on the screen and the parks they want and they still win big!

Oh I forgot about the hours. That’s another reason why the park was crowded.

What dining is empty? We were at The Boathouse, Morimoto, Biergarten, Columbia Harbor House, and Satuli Canteen so far and everything is packed.

This week isn't empty but a lot of things are playing into that. It's Jersey week, and a run Disney event. He did mention that dining and resorts are still lagging.

It’s Jersey week…it’s been over 20 years of unusual crowds.

Do we need to go over this with slides and a laser pointer?

Fun fact…today is my 20th wedding anniversary…on the grounds of lovely EPCOT…

It was fantastic then…it got so sucky over the next 5-10 years we have rarely been back.

They successfully moved people into this block. Yeah Disney. Good job.

It does NOT mean the problems are going away.

Watch and let it play out, kids 🧐
