For what it's worth, Space, BTMRR, Pirates, and Mansion were all down this morning. So no fear about low wait times today.

Going to an all u can eat breakfast at H&V and then walking in 100 degree humidity afterwards and riding motion rides is not my idea of fun.One of our users sent in a video from Hollywood & Vine's breakfast service at 9:50 a.m. yesterday, showing the restaurant maybe half-full. According to the servers, it's been this way all summer.
Granted, Hollywood & Vine is not the highest-rated restaurant. And 9:50 is late for breakfast. But still.

She. But yes, that $266 rate for Portofino is showing up mid-week on several days. And since I mentioned Christmastime in my previous post. This is for Dec 11-13.
The kicker is one person does need an AP. Over the last year, UO has been aggressive with its pass increases, so by the time you factor in the additional cost of a Power Pass over a regular ticket, it's not *as* good of a deal as it used to be. Renewal prices, are discounted, so if you've had your pass for years, like me, then it's closer in cost. The fear from UO passholders is that the best deals are behind us. It comes down to how much you value the Express Pass.
What’s funny is there’s real blowback against the Florida parks…both big operators…
But they simply cannot stop trying new ways to Jack the revenues up on those willing to come.
The attendance pictures I get from the Disney parks is SHOCKING. There’s just no crowds there.
Can’t wait to hear new and elaborate spins as to why from corporate and it’s volunteer fandom wing (the praetorians)??
And I think for a lot of people it isn't any one thing. Sure, maybe for some they are just fed up with Disney and nothing else is contributing but I think for many it is the negativity around Disney and the parks and challenges of planning and then add in cost of everything is going up so less disposable income and people find alternative options for their (lower) available vacation dollars, etc, etc
So if everything was amazing with Disney right now I am sure some people would "find" the dollars to make the trip or still pick it over other options... But add in lack of draw or just less overall excitement/positive feelings and it is much, much easier to reallocate those dollars elsewhere
1) I didnt mention anything about the beliefs of people on here, i specifically said "Connected to Disney"...so those who run the company, so called experts and staff.See my bolding. I don't think anyone is doing this at all, at least on these boards. I think everyone acknowledges increased costs, decreased offerings/perks/whatever as the reason. I think what a lot of people are talking about other reasons it's down ON TOP of the main reason.
Lets use a very simple example here. Lets say the different between crowded 2019 and dead 2023 is 100 people. 90 people aren't coming back because of the above - too expensive, less perks, going elsewhere etc. This whole conversation is revolving around why are those other 10 people not showing up.
Some of the reasons are:
The main issue is people like you who are so fed up with Disney that any time someone talks about other non-disney-controlled reasons people aren't going to the parks you immediately think they are not blaming Disney at all and call them dusters or idiots.
- Heat wave - locals/APs now coming to the parks or resort guests staying at the pool more/longer
- Taylor Swift might be 1 or 2 less people. Heh
- Other theme parks
- Whatever
Did an EMP go off over WDW, what the heck?Saw Peter Pan and People Mover were down as well, though they and Space seem to be up now
Other parks impacted as well as RNRC and Dinosaur are down too

Attractions may be down but I would guess the merchandise locations attached to the attractions are ringing up the sales. For what it's worth, Space, BTMRR, Pirates, and Mansion were all down this morning. So no fear about low wait times today.
We did a week stay at Portifino Club level in April and just returned from a week stay at YC Club Level in June. Not just express, unlimited express. Incredibly valuable benefit.
Also, I’ve stayed at both The Boardwalk and Portofino. I understand that it’s a comparison of a Deluxe Resort with a Premier Hotel, but in reality they’re leagues apart in quality.

To be fair consumer spend is down across the industry. Also, DeSantis certainly hasn't done them any favors with the conservative crowd and yes Disney's product hasn't been consistent or great either. It really does feel like a perfect storm situation for them right now. It will be interesting to see if they can survive this long term.I just love how everyone connected to Disney blames every other possibility as to why the parks are quiet....They all Bury their heads in the sand to the REAL genuine reason why numbers are down...and it is ALL their own faults..They are completely in denial about the whole thing - its quite scary really.
They created the negativity around Disney and they are not addressing it, but instead making things far far worse with each and every decision they make.
Disney are a car crash of a company at the moment. Clearly with a board room full of yes men who will agree with whatever the top dog says. I get the feeling all they care about is their pay checks and not how to run a park properly.
Check for 4 people and book that. You’ll then usually get to modify down to three but if you can’t just tell them day of one person couldn’t come. Disney likes to fill tables as much as possible and blocks odd parties, signed frequent solo visitor.I keep hoping for quieter crowds when we go from 8/16-8/23, but I know I was just looking for a lunch reservation for 3 at Beaches and Cream and it's not available on any of the days or our trip. Hmm.
Yeah, I had checked for 4 also and no luck.Check for 4 people and book that. You’ll then usually get to modify down to three but if you can’t just tell them day of one person couldn’t come. Disney likes to fill tables as much as possible and blocks odd parties, signed frequent solo visitor.
Are they OK doing that? For one of my reservations there was nothing for 2 people so I put 3 and a table popped up so i took it - was hoping to just say it was an error and only meant to book for 2Check for 4 people and book that. I haven’t had an issue with 2 to 1, but 3 to 2 is traditionally a different sized table. Are they OK doing that? For one of my reservations there was nothing for 2 people so I put 3 and a table popped up so i took it - was hoping to just say it was an error and only meant to book for 2
Yes. I did take note of that as well as patronized it in April because you can only eat so many Ronto wraps. Its a solid meh for breakfast staples as nothing stood out from being a step above a Mcdonalds'.
Arent there several companies now that book dining reservations and hold them to sell to people? Or they just are paid to constantly check for reservations and book them right away if it pops up? I would think this may play a role in hard to get reservations perhaps?I keep hoping for quieter crowds when we go from 8/16-8/23, but I know I was just looking for a lunch reservation for 3 at Beaches and Cream and it's not available on any of the days or our trip.
