no see, the first year the sparkler is included with the cupcake ... then people have FOMO if they don't have it in the future so next year you have an extra upcharge for the sparker
Attendance down, union contract passed starting wage for entry level increased is starting $18 in parks and resorts , that cupcake got a wee bit more $$.

I've been browsing this thread every now and then but haven't been keeping it recently.

I remember a while back people were saying that while the parks weren't as busy as before, Disney Springs was super busy. Well, I went yesterday and I have never seen Disney Springs that dead before. No Gideon's VQ and the wait was 20 minutes. Every restaurant I passed by was accepting walk ups. Not even World of Disney seemed to be that bad. The line to check out was minimal. It was also hotter than the surface of the sun and Disney Springs has very minimal shade.

As I walked around, I kept thinking "Man, I sure do wish both water parks were open right now."

Springs has been consistently more crowded than the parks…especially the weekend.

Because it’s not behind a paywall.

Not positive signs for the mouse

Agreed, I've been to Disney Springs on friday and saturday nights where it was shoulder to shoulder crowds. Yesterday was very weird with how quiet it was.

I'll be over at Universal this weekend so it'll be interesting to compare.

Back on topic, so I'm watching a few youtube videos. One of my favorite is 4KWDW and it was shot yesterday. unexpectantly low crowds in Epcot. 20 minute soarin standby wait times at 3 pm? wow. open virtual cue availability on GOTG . I heard its unusally hot (lol isn't it always hot in July in Florida) so I wonder if that is keeping people at home.

Anyhoo, I maybe the odd duck here because I want lower crowds. got a trip in 60 days !!

The lack of crowds have been talked about for months. Nothing unexpected about them.

The next earnings call is gonna be the best entertainment Disneys put out this year lol
This time period feels so ominous for TWDC. Everything is seemingly failing all at once. Leadership can’t do anything because the structure is rotten to the core. Everyone knows the impending disaster is going to happen but are just mulling around as normal waiting for it.

No, it’s all good. Movies that already lost hundreds of millions at the box office are going to tie up many more hundreds of millions of dollars elsewhere in the company for a service that has already cost the company a few billion.

At least the parks and resorts look flush with cash for the near and foreseeable future!
