I could really use $150 bucks. Cmon Disney, hit me up!
For a company who claims to be so "data-driven", they seem to just be choosing to not act on the "data" they've collected. You’d think people they pay hundreds of thousands or even millions would know what to do to fix things and make them better for the park guests already
My guess is the data is skewed to report things however they want to make certain people look good and things are going well even if they aren’t. And therein lies the problem. For a company who claims to be so "data-driven", they seem to just be choosing to not act on the "data" they've collected.
A lot of that is due to those at the top not understanding parks. My guess is the data is skewed to report things however they want to make certain people look good and things are going well even if they aren’t. And therein lies the problem.
They understand them, they would just prefer to use them as an ATM.A lot of that is due to those at the top not understanding parks.

Both qualitative and quantitative research have value. Qualitative studies like the one your sister was invited to do a better job of capturing sentiment and giving color to the numbers, which can help ensure that you’re on the right track with your interpretation of the quantitative data. However, people are notoriously bad at predicting their own behavior in qualitative studies, which is why we also track what they actually do (and how that either squares with or differs from what they say) with quantitative data. An effective learning strategy includes multiple kinds of research. The fact that they are reaching out in this way is not indicative of a problem; it’s how things should be done.Think Disney is really that far out of touch they have to do this to know what would make things better for guests?
There is another one too going around where someone from Disney follows you around the park for 3 hours and observes you and you get a 300 gift card.my sister received this today and I’ve seen mentioned of this from others on social media as well recently. Very interesting.

I would love to get one of these. There is another one too going around where someone from Disney follows you around the park for 3 hours and observes you and you get a 300 gift card.
Me tooI would love to get one of these.
Realistically. What can HS offer as far as a Christmas event?I’m going to enjoy the light crowds at MVMCP this year because I’m 100% convinced that if people do the DHS thing, they won’t do MVMCP. Disney doesn’t think that way apparently.
What if I leave the park mid quest and go to universal, will they still follow and give me my gift card? There is another one too going around where someone from Disney follows you around the park for 3 hours and observes you and you get a 300 gift card.
Slap a label on it and call it a Christmas event.Realistically. What can HS offer as far as a Christmas event?

BingoA lot of that is due to those at the top not understanding parks.
Generally, if a study participant is totally unhelpful or combative, it’s easiest to just give them the honorarium no matter what and blacklist them from future research. The potential for conflict isn’t worth a gift card. What if I leave the park mid quest and go to universal, will they still follow and give me my gift card?
Yeah I saw that too. I’m kinda shocked honestly. Is that really necessary to get itThere is another one too going around where someone from Disney follows you around the park for 3 hours and observes you and you get a 300 gift card.
Get what? Different kinds of research are useful for different kinds of insights.Yeah I saw that too. I’m kinda shocked honestly. Is that really necessary to get it
Guess they’ll raise the price of G+ to help pay for these survey gifts. no sweatThere is another one too going around where someone from Disney follows you around the park for 3 hours and observes you and you get a 300 gift card.
