I guess you don't miss the mushrooms at Pecos Bills's?
Don't miss anything about Pecos Bill's .... Bland food with no flavor and a nightmare trying to find a spot to sit. No thank you

On the flip side, my former peers and their extended family took a trip across the pond and enjoyed it. The vacation for a week in the UK was cheaper than a week at WDW.
Food is better? Better than what? Food used to be an attraction all in itself. Now, every restaurant has essentially the same meals, with just different names.
All sound delish and I've tried similar items at non Disney ethnic locations but trying to sell this to kids would be challenging.Totally disagree - way more variety now and most is pretty good
I mean, just look a new options at Animal Kingdom out this month. Chicken or shrimp bowls with jollof rice with kachumbari tomato salad and tzatziki sauce .... Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita .... Harissa Chicken Wrap
Every place has those? And this is just one update with a few examples
Well they’re obviously trying to get you to not kill yourself…and cheesesteaks and sodas are a good way to do thatI think that's us also, we have a sugar tax in my city. Soda usually is 3.50-4 bucks so Disney cost while I agree are high aren't shocking.
Cheese steak and fries for lunch is definitely going to be 20.00 -22.00 bucks.
Maybe they’re talking about MK, where the food offerings tend to be geared more toward what most people consider child friendlyTotally disagree - way more variety now and most is pretty good

CS offerings at WDW prior to COVID were very good with a lot of choices. They have become more limited since then but the only time I had to settle for something that wasn’t good was when everyone wanted to go to Pecos Bills.
See…while not “bad looking”…they have alot of bbq pork on property and the rest are mostly variations on a hot dog.CS specifically at MK is definitely lacking compared to other parks or resorts
I will say we had a pretty solid meal our last trip at Tortuga Tavern - tasty food, slight twist to standard options, and big portions

For me, it's not so much the price, but the quality. I came to terms with, eating at Disney isn't going to be cheap, a long time ago. But food quality has taken an extreme slide south at Disney. So it's hard for me to justify double or more the cost over what I would pay at a chillies or olive garden. Especially when it doesn't even meet those quality standards. And we're not talking about some crazy high bar to clear. The biggest problem I have with the food pricing is comparing it to my weekly grocery shopping which I know I shouldn’t do.
What restaurants are you talking about specifically? There are so many places to eat at Disney. For me, it's not so much the price, but the quality. I am a massive breakfast person. It’s my favourite meal of the day but I flat out refuse to pay the prices Disney want for breakfast.

The Boma breakfast buffet is worth it -- try to go there once a trip. I agree that other breakfasts generally aren't worth the price, though... I think the only breakfast we've eaten other than Boma that was actually okay for the price was at the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom. We weren't planning to eat there, but we were hungry when we got to the park, saw it served breakfast, and went in to eat.
Food certainly wasn't amazing, but it was a lot better than what they serve at places like Be Our Guest.
I think there's a huge difference between QS and TS in this discussion. QS is probably the best it's ever been at Disney -- table service, on the other hand, is not very good for the most part and has both fewer options and lower overall quality than the past. There are a few exceptions, of course.
Flying Fish is the only Disney TS meal I've had recently that actually felt like it was worth the price -- California Grill was okay, but not good enough to make me want to return (and certainly wouldn't return now that it's prix fixe).
We tend to eat most of our meals at Disney Springs because the food quality is generally higher there.
I was mostly thinking of quick service options. I have my favorite sit downs, but none of them are actually run by Disney at this time.Food is better? Better than what? Food used to be an attraction all in itself. Now, every restaurant has essentially the same meals, with just different names.

Ditto - and without most of the ADR made a lifetime ago non senseWe tend to eat most of our meals at Disney Springs because the food quality is generally higher there.
The Potter quick service is great, with decent pricing as well for the quality/atmosphere. But they struggle outside of the Wizarding World. Their pizza is decent, but the value at WDW's is much better as you get a side salad as well for a lower price. Thunder Falls and Cafe La Bamba are pretty decent options, but their service can be spotty.
