Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

When we go to WDW we will always stay at a WDW resort.
When we go to Universal, we will stay at one of their resorts.
When we go to Dollywood we stay at DreamMore but now her new resort is opening and we will stay there.
If we ever get back to Disnelyand, we will stay at one of those.

Just how we like to travel. I like a resort-feel vacation wherever we go with transportation to parks, dining and entertainment available on-site.
Even an island vacation, we're staying at a big resort with a lot of amenities/activities.
Heck, I try and find that even when visiting National Parks.
Now big cities, I like boutique hotels.

I'll add we never, never do parks open to close.
Met a family on NYE back in the day at MGM Studios at 9am. They told me they would stay in the park until closing time of 3am.

We easily get it all done in half a day to be fair. (As in by 1pm ish)

We stay on resort and rope drop.(AK opens later I see this year, but I'm sure last year it was 8am for resort guests.)

We are off FoP by 8.30pm...walk on NaviR...have a G+ set up for the Safari for around 9.30am - Everest G+ around 10:15am See the Kite show while over that way - and RiverRapids G+ for around 11am. Parrot Show, then Bug...were at midday at this time, so it's head over to Jungle treck, then Dinosaur and Triceratops before heading out to another park around 1pm.

In the 20 or so times I've been to AK, I don't think I've ever been in the park past 2pm?....we often go to another park and then head back to have a ride on FoP and experience the area in the dark which is sublime.

Notice you didn't include FotLK or the Nemo show, those definitely take up some time and have to be planned around the timing of them. Also didn't see the train out to Conservation station and the drawing academy there or the petting zoo and other stuff the. Nor any character meets

Park can definitely be done in half day if only certain things you want to do but I also think there is enough to fill up a full day

If its your first and only trip to AK then yes, you can make it a full day. But when youve done the park before, it's hard to get the interest up to do The Conservation, petting,Nemo etc for a 2nd time.

But yes Lion King can be done around 1/1.30pm to get that in.....

But yes, if you don't rope drop and don't use Genie it does make thing harder.

Can you give me any tips on how to get a Space 220 Lounge reservation?.....ive tried 8 days in a row now and I just can't get one for love nor money.

At what time (Florida time) does the Space220 lounge reservations go live 60 days ahead? I'm struggling big style....also struggled to get Yak&Yeti amd had to settle for a 3.30pm lunch 🙈 we will be famished by that time.
I gotta be honest…neither are worth it

Let me be very clear.

My comment was about my lack of enjoyment of Universal, not about how exceptional I consider Animal Kingdom. I would rather go to Lake Compounce than Universal. I would rather go to *work* than Universal. I would rather go to the dentist than Universal. I don't enjoy it.
Then you’re not a ride guy, huh?

Do you dare conquer the mine train? 🤪

But I get what you’re saying. Its a bit weird…but you overpaid for your dvc so ya gotta use it, right??😎

it’s probably better to ask in the restaurant forum. You can get a Landry’s card and be seated at Yak & Yeti almost immediately - not the right thread for all the details but it’s basically free.

Wherever you eat I wouldn't ride an attraction motion ride right after lunch, especially Mission Space. I'd be losing it in the nearest bathroom.

I believe it’s a $25 one time fee? But you get it back in coups Almost immediately

Ive never understood why people pay so much for rooms when going to Disney. Especially the ones who basically do the parks majority of the day. Everyone trashes “Value” resorts but honestly they serve their purpose imo
I get how this comes off but I’ll give you the honest answer.

I’m rich so why not?

( plus I have to spend all my DVC points that I’m not renting out )

You can’t be rich…if you were, you’d be embracing all the prices at Disney That are only to get the plebs away from us as they make an obvious re-center to “luxury”…by doing not a thing differently expect cutting service and charging more…

LIAR!!!

Check closer to your trip. Lots of reservations are made "just in case" and are canceled as plans get firmed up. Make the reservations you are happy with, but the month out, the week out, the night before... you'll be surprised what suddenly shows up as available.

But Space 220 isn't worth it. The arrival is cool, but it's over in 5 minutes. And then you find yourself in a pretty sparse restaurant, with a lot of seats at tables that don't have a view of anything, and *very* mediocre food. We went for my birthday, and the seat we had was along the big screen, but were too far toward an end. On DH and my side we could see an astronaut from time to time, but my Dad who was facing us, only saw black and the doorway to the bathrooms. If you can get something in the Lounge that would be a much better value, than the prix fix dining in the main restaurant.

I agree 101% with this

If you’re just curious and want to stop in…go lounge

The fixed price menu is just not good anyway you slice it
