Is AAA gaming facing a reckoning? Maybe a crash?

I haven’t played since the DS when my dog chewed up my copy of Diamond that was only missing 6 Pokémon.

I played Scarlet for like 30 minutes, gave up and gave my sister my copy because I was so done with it. I've played indies with a significantly lower budget that ran better than Scarlet/Violet.
