Question? Where did he live from 1832 to 1882? How would we know for sure, did he show up on a census on ancestry.com? Did he leave a forwarding address at the Post Office of his previous home? As far as that goes by the time he made it to 187 years old, who would be around that would have witnessed his hatching and could verify it?

Hadn't heard about that but I had heard that hot air balloons were used for spying. It always seemed like they would have been easy to shoot down. During the Civil War and WWI they also used pigeons to send messages back and forth. Early air mail or to send a flying text message.
