the panneling is from 1975...it was all that came about of an expansive RCA Communications Network queue.....and that was scrapped before the ride opened so all we got was faux storage panneling and a switchback. Had it been built it would have been an intense version of the Mission to Mars mission control booth with tons of video monitors and mainframe computers.
Wrong ,the Im sure the panneling to look like boxes where added for the Fed X remodel I dont remember this in 1975 I rode it a lot in those years

Is anyone else having trouble with the Disney Parks blog? For a couple of days now I've tried it on different computers at different locations (IE, different ISPs) and have had no luck. It's slow to load, the stylesheet doesn't load, and few of the pictures will load either. I haven't been able to see the pix of the queue.

Just checked, it's working fine for me... But I typically use Google Reader anyways - it's so much easier to read my favorite blogs that way! Can't recommend it enough.

Is it possible that they're openings in the queue ceilings that show a glimpse of the mountain ceiling effects? Perhaps it's not a full enclosure afterall?

No, if definitely is. That ceiling is a separate effect from the ones in the mountain, just like Disneyland's queue has the HD video of the planet rotating.

It's possible, but that satellite-like object in the closest area doesn't appear to be skewered correctly to be a dome effect.

Oh my!
I love it! My favorite WDW attraction is now cooler than ever! :)

I am calling in right now and booking my next trip. Well, actually not. But this makes me much more excited for the next time I visit the World. As if I needed even more reasons to go back.
