Rumor Inside Out to Replace Journey into Imagination with Figment?

I agree the ride is lackluster to put it gently, but I adore Figment and the message of the ride. I would be okay with this if they gave Figment a new ride but that begs the question why not leave him where he is, redo the ride and put Inside Out in a brand new space instead?

Hopefully they can keep "One Little Spark" and the theme of using your Imagination- and put Figment somewhere else in Epcot. Like take the final scene and make it a walk through or something? I don't know, I've just always loved that part :)

I/O makes a lot of sense here. Add Zootopia to 'The Land' pavilion and Marine Institute to 'The Seas' and it creates something interesting.

Specifically, franchises that utilize every color the human eye can process on that side of FW.

Takes Colortopia to the next level.

I'm not going to read this entire thread, but why couldn't Epcot just do a really good imagination-themed ride based on Inside-Out, which was an awesome movie, develop a great 3-D movie for Figment and EITHER of the versions of the Dreamfinder, (I prefer the younger one, but I don't care), revise the upper area of the pavilion to make it similar to what it used to be, (figment and Inside out characters in there) and call it it a day?
Why is this so hard. This is a Home-run-slam-dunk attraction. Let's Go!

I'm opposite on the attractions (Figment/Dreamfinder ride, Inside Out 3D show) but I totally agree. The fix is right there.

Lol.
Did someone in an earlier post actually
try to spin that Disney might be disappointed in Guardians box office performance after grossing 1.65 billion in its first 2 outings. On a down year for
box office Guardians 2 domestically outgrossed the first by 60 million, to finish just under 400 million and also outperformed the first internationally, and by a considerable amount if you look at ticket sales. Exchange rate is unfavorable compared to when Guardians 1 was released.
I thing they might be somewhat pleased!!!

I agree, and the bean counters in TDO shouldn't have any creative control , that's up to the Imagineers and their "Imaginations" ;) .

In all honesty, I've always liked the idea of "Inside Out" replacing Figment. The only other option I'd want is them to restore to the original attraction and improve it for today's audience... but that will never happen. I think they could even include Figment in a big way inside an "Inside Out" attraction, especially if they try and create an original story from the concept instead of a book report ride.

Never say never.

My big issue with Disney a lot of their newer rides like Frozen and Radiator Springs Racers there is a lack of theming and immersion in the ride buildings. It's literally just empty warehouses with a few small sets scattered here and there with AAs. It looks like I'm inside a trade show or convention. What happened to the days of Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of The Caribbean where its totally immersive 360 degrees? Im not saying every inch needs to be loaded with AAs and props but there shouldn't be such huge empty spaces how about some rock work and themed walls and stuff? Thats my biggest fear if they redo Imagination.

Have you been on Radiator Springs Racers? One of the best Disney rides there is imo. Hardly an empty warehouse with a few small sets scattered here and there.
