One of our neighbors has the snow globe plus about 8 other inflatables on his postage-stamp size lawn already. It really looks tacky!
I'm more of a candles -in-the-window type myself. :o

Not even in the same league with a house three streets over. They had 2 dozen or more inflatables for Halloween, and have MORE Christmas ones. It is also a small yard, but on a corner, so the whole house is surrounded.

I was at a wedding recently, and someone I was talking to mentioned that her daughter lived in my neighborhood. When I asked where she lived, she responded, "Across from the inflatables house. I assume you know where it is?" Um, yes.

I always wondered where people who had hundreds of them on their front lawns stored them off-season. They had to have taken up an awful lot of room.

My attic can vouch for that

At least the plastic decorations give you a little direction to the front door during a snow storm. Last year we lost our Grinch before Christmas and didn't find him again until spring when all that snow melted. We saw the one Kings head most of the winter.

I kind of like the effect when your holiday lights get buried under the snow though, so you get these multicolor glowing snowdrifts!

On a related note, our town picks up trees after the holidays and grindss them up for mulch for the spring. A couple of years ago we had so much snow in January, that it was April before they were able to pick them up because they were buried so deeply! It was kind of creepy seeing the trees reappear as the snow melted!

The Inflatable House is up and running. They've added 3 snow globes; I was driving, so will have to take a walk over to do a head count. Basically, I think they're trying to collect every inflatable ever created.

It sounds like a Kodak moment to me. Are you going to taking pictures for us?

I've seen those and I am sure John wants one. As a rule we usually wait until that kind of thing goes on clearance and then we have it for next year.
Yes, we do the same. The prices on these inflatable snowglobes are already beginning to drop in my area.

Indeed, the animated Santa in the chimney caught my attention as well. It's only $60.00 too! :xmas:

I told my sister about the snow globes (she has the inflatable x-mas tigger, and x-mas mickey) -- so.. I think she is going to get a snowglobe to.

There is also one like that with a penguin that pops out of an igloo.

My son just turned 3 and he is in LOVE with the huge one they have at Sam's.He just stares at it and begs me. My problem is storing it, if I bring home anything else big my wife will kill me. The new trend I can't stand is the upside-down Christmas trees, these things kill me.

I decided to buy an inflatable snowglobe. Where do you think it will look the best on my front lawn?

I don't think my neighbors have put any on the roof...yet! This one has them beat; I'll have to print this photo out and slip it in their mailbox.

My neighbors are working toward that goal. They've been at it all day and still have big boxes full of stuff on the porch. But at least the roof has inflatables on it. Tomorrow will be the front lawn.

I finally saw one of those giant snowglobes on a neighbor's lawn! In it, Orson Welles sat motionless on a large chair and written across the base was the word "Rosebud".

Just kidding, the globe had snow coming down on Santa and Mrs. Claus with "Merry Christmas" written on the base. It was pretty cool.
