My guess is that if they would test WoC-type effects, they would do so during 3rd shift. Perhaps this is what the rumor pertained to.

I thought it was weird there was a silhouette of a bear with the earth barge tonight (I watched from japan / america area)
It felt like the fountains seemed more brighter, possibly used some more :shrug:

If the fountains really were upgraded you would have noticed right away. The World of Color fountains use special LED rings, making the colors very bright and vibrant.

Not only that, seriously, you can't replace hardware like that in less than a day. I'm not surprised that there wasn't any testing.

It is the same exact show as usual, except for the Inferno Barge. Everyone just notices other things now because their attention is always drawn by all the fire effects.
Yep thats the usual way it works during a refurb of any of the major elements. We had all kinds of reports of new lasers, new pyro during the Earth barge refurb.

Saw Illuminations a couple years ago when the barge was down after the explosion and subsequent refurb. Without the barge the show is OK. A lot of guests were expecting the fire balls, so they were very disappointed. I wonder what happened to the rumored new show. Perhaps it was shelved due to the economy.

Um... during the earth barge refurbishment there were different Pyro, torch and light effects. Heck... the entire second half was changed.

Sorry I meant to say during the last Inferno Barge refurb. Wrong barge!

Repairs are still being made to the Inferno Barge, hopefully it will be back in show by Monday. It will be going out for another rehab in probably Jan or Feb.

ROE is a magnificent piece of art. Even though its old, its still by far the best pyro show on property. All it needs is plussing and updating. Put some WoC fountains in during the rather slow mid section.
