Impressions de France Questions

I've really taken a liking to this film as of late. It's very good. I just have a few questions that people may or may not be able to answer, but I'll take my chances.

1. What is the name of the song (and who was it composed by) that opens the film? The one that sounds like the beginning of Beauty and the Beast.

2. What is the name of the church that is featured in the middle-ish of the film with the wedding scene? The narrator says the name but I can never catch it. It's Mont... something. And the ocean surrounds it.

And for the Bonus:

3. What is the name of the poem written by Baudelaire that the narrator quotes at the hot air balloon part? Something about leaving for the sake of leaving and saying "We must go!". Something like that.

Thanks

I can try to answer question 2, but I have no clue on the rest.

I may be mistaken, but I think the church in question is Mt St Michael. And, from 4 years of French in high school, I was taught that it is pronounced "mon say mee shell".

But the true voyagers set out to sea
Just for the leaving's sake; hearts lift aloft,
Nothing dissuades them from their destiny,
Something beyond their knowing cries, 'We're off!

OP probably died decades ago, but thanks for the poem anyway!

Will one day people in 2160 read my posts here? And feel they can relate, over time, wondering what I was like and trying to understand my world through my words?

Yes. As long as these antiquated posts remain unlocked, there will be someone who will read and respond, oblivious to the time that has passed.

I literally have a playlist of all the songs from this show. It’s my favorite show at Disney. We watch it sometimes multiple times a day bc it’s so relaxing. It was what began my love for classical music. With that said, here is a list of the songs from it:

Enjoy!
