I'm Over It

Wow...I can't believe I just wasted the last 10 minutes of my life over this thread topic. (rolling my eyes)

Of all the troubles in this world from increased national debt, the ISIS crisis in Iraq, increased healthcare costs, the Ebola crisis, the legal/moral issue of same sex marriages, the unrest in Fergusson , MO and many , many more to numerous to name..... and we want to argue over a Disney movie and if it has taken over Disney too much! Are you people serious?

Wow do many of us have our priorities misplaced. LOL Think about it! You are arguing over a Disney movie. I'm sure this same arguement occured when The Lion King came out, or when Beauty and the Beast was released or how about The Little Mermaid.

Look the OP certainly is entitled to his/her opinion, but is venting on a Disney forum the best place to do it? Seriously...you knew it certainly was going to start a giant debate and boy has it ever!

Frankly I can careless if Frozen sticks in the parks or not or if it apparently seems to dominate Disney at the moment. Really I can careless and frankly my opinion does not change what the higher ups in Disney's food change think when they are trying to do what is best for Disney theme parks in general.

All that matters is when I was at Disney just a short couple weeks ago, all I cared about was seeing the smile that was on the face of my 4 year old daughter when she got to see Elsa/ Anna and the Frozen stuff at Hollywood Studios. She was one happy little girl and and isn't that what really counts ....seeing smiles on our children's faces.

So again I reiterate....."thank you" for amusing me over the past 6 pages. LOL

The better question is: if you want to read about and debate these other issues, why are you browsing a forum dedicated to Disney theme parks?

If you're going to complain about people actually being on-topic, perhaps you should log onto some internet forums dedicated to say, turbo-charging Honda engines or horse training or people who research classical guitar restoration and make the same arguments towards other people debating and conversing about their hobbies?

There's an entire of internet's worth of people to accuse of being frivolous.

Duh... there is alot of useful info to be gleaned from forums such as this especially when planning a vacation to Disney. I bet you missed the part where I typed I was just in Disney a few short weeks ago. ;)

HOWEVER....listening/reading about someone being over Frozen is IMO a bit over the top....

Boy...I bet you are glad you asked me! ;)

So the regulars that aren't fans of Frozen should just "put up and shut up" because Disney is overreacting with their Frozen coverage in the parks and presuming that's what "little girls want?" I know of plenty of kids that liked it at first but are sick of it and go to the parks for other things. See: Little Mermaid and other things that have a big following 25 years later. That's staying power! Sorry to break it to Disney, but most of their paying regulars aren't coming for Frozen.

And I know plenty of kids that can't get enough of it. Are you going to take it out for them even though they would enjoy it? No! Becuase that is the majority of what people want in the parks right now. And staying power? Really? This move isn't even a year old yet. You can't even begin to talk staying power. But it will have it. These kids nowadays will watch it years later and remember hpthe songs and sing them. Just like WE did for Little Mermaid, Lion King, et al. This movie is this generations Disney resurgence just like ours was Liitle Mermaid, BatB, Lion King, Aladdin. Theirs is starting with Frozen. It's not going anywhere. It made a BILLION dollars. Disney won't let it go anywhere. So I'm not asking you to "put up and shut up"....but you might want to get used to it. Disney wants to make their money and this is how they are going to do it.

Sarcasm noted....LOL

Arguing...hardly, I am only pointing out the ridiculousness of then entire thread. How about I start a thread on "I'm over it with regard to the fact that greater than 95% of the restaurants practically serve the same children's meals and serve practically the same practically the desserts." After all one can only take so much chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, PB & J, and fruit cups. It is ruining our vacation that Disney doesn't offer more dining selections for our kids. I would be ridiculed off this forum with good reason.

Anyway thank you for that wonderful idiom.... I'll have to remember that one for a future argument. ;)

Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Let me get this straight. So first, you come onto a Disney forum to berate people for arguing about a topic on a Disney forum and not focusing on something more serious, like Ebola, Ferguson, or ISIS (all non-Disney related topics)...

and then
you have the gall to present your argument in the case???

To quote Biff Tannen, "Hello? Hello? Anybody home?? Think, McFly! Think!"

I guess you missed the part that I too am a Disney fan. I guess you missed the sarcasm too. Here I will help you out...no kidding I mentioned non-Disney topics. I am simply pointing out out the ridiculousness of the original topic.

If I did not make a statement then I would have been called out for bringing nothing to the discussion. Either way I'm in catch-22 situation.

Or you could have read a few posts, not commented, and left. Instead you choose to berate and belittle a group of people for being unhappy with something Disney has planned. You don't have to agree with them, but you don't need to act as if you are superior because you don't agree. I'm sure your families Disney vacation is much more high-brow then the rest of ours. That you walk around talking about politics and current events:rolleyes:

Bet you are glad you got that off your chest now. ;)

Yeah and the OP didn't need to make it sound like Frozen was ruining her vacation. Gotcha! ;)
That was the point of my response........

Matter of fact we had a wonderful time on our vacation. Nothing like seeing a bunch of smiles on your children's faces. Thank you for inquiring! :)

Have a Magical Day!

Really .. I did not know that. Thanks for pointing that to me.... darn fingers didn't type CNN..oh my.

No kidding.... the point of the post is to show that out of all the troubles in the world, the OP wants to complain about too much Frozen and because of that it is ruining her time at Disney. I call BS.

I'm done trying to explain myself. It is time to bow out of the conversation since it will only end up in a flame war. Now that won't be Magical will it. I've already wasted way too much time on this topic. (my fault for be sucked into such a useless discussion)

Right now "Frozen" is a cash cow for Disney and they are going to milk it for all it is worth. Can't say as I blame them. Eventually the furor over the movie will die down and will be replaced by something else. However, due to the tremendous popularity of the movie, Anna and Elsa will probably always have a major presence at WDW, the same as Cinderella, the Little Mermaid, Belle and Snow White with either a show or ride or both. Poor Rapunzel only has a bathroom.

We do not care for the Norway pavilion being overtaken by Frozen, but that's where the ride will be no matter how we feel about it.
