It's not fair to call him just the voice of Kristoff. He's Tony nominated actor and was also on Glee. An voice actor form Frozen doing one night of the Processional is nitpicking IMO. It's not like they are advertising it as "Kristoff Tells the Story of Christmas!"

Not to mention Jonathans numberous performances on Broadway, London's West End and several other movies and television shows.

I was just in WDW all of last week and with the exception of DHS....Frozen is not in any way beating anyone over the head (they made up for it in DHS....lol). I was in MK for the welcome show and rope drop on the 22nd and I barely noticed a difference. It's really not even noticeable in any of the other parks unless you look for it IMO.

In regards to DHS...the park is about movies after all....and...well....Frozen is a movie so.......

In regards to the Castle dreamlights....it actually makes a lot of sense. The lights are in essence supposed to make the castle look like it's covered in ice during the Christmas season. Elsa...ice queen.....uhhhh.

I think it's pretty apparent the OP clearly hates Frozen but, like an earlier poster said, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from not going to any of this stuff and it is all very avoidable. Kind of like if you don't like something on the radio or tv.......change the channel.

Regarding the part of your post that I highlighted in bold. Actually, it is crap about the castle dreamlights. That is CINDERELLA Castle and she and the Fairy Godmother should be the ones continuing to light the castle. Elsa needs to take a hike.

As far as the rest of your post, there are things there that I could point out that you are misinformed on or just oblivious, but I'll leave it alone.

Totally agree. It's cheap and lazy.

You don't give up something that's been there 25 years in favor of the latest movie craze. You can keep beloved classics AND incorporate your movie hits in other, more appropriate areas. Was Maelstrom perfect? No, but it's iconic and perfectly themed for a World Showcase attraction that could have used an updated post show and some TLC on the inside. Replacing it because you want to steal the ride system and the nuts and bolts are already in place is again, cheap and lazy.

And Frozen, as big as it is, won't be this big of a deal in 5 years.

I beg to differ. In 5 years, ex-Maelstrom will be open. Frozen 2 will be out with Frozen 3 in production. Frozen will be just as big if not bigger by then. Hold on becuase we're in for a bumpy ride and I cannot wait!

I know it's beating a dead horse here, but I am so tired of The Lion King. It was a good movie. Not a great movie, IMHO. I'm still not sure why it got as much attention as it did - the music maybe?? Whatever the reason, I am done with it taking over everything. It took over Magic Journeys, which was a terrible idea because in no way, shape, or form does the theme of The Lion King even kind of fit the theme of Fantasyland (well, to the extent Fantasyland still has a specific theme; but that's an entirely different rant for an entirely different day). It's taking over Main Street with that parade, which absolutely drives me crazy. I am okay with other characters in the parks because it does add something for the kids, sure. But, to add another park show all about Lion King? Really?!? The movie's music completely ruined park opening for MK, and now the Christmas Parade on TV is going down the toilet. Beyond just the parks, it's all over the stores with Simba plushes and blankets and crap, and all of those annoying home videos of people singing the songs which filled up my TV set for months; and now it took over my show The Wonderful World of Disney --is there no escaping it?!?!?!

I agree with everything you said. ;)

You wait. I initially liked Frozen. We bought the CD to sing in the car, we got the movie the day it came out. And, then I watched as video after video came out of people in their cars lip-synching the songs were on the news and on FB every 10 seconds, and initially I even "liked" them. And then I spent thousands to go to WDW in July, and even though it was everywhere I turned, I tolerated it. I didn't get upset. I didn't get mad, I just said, whatever, it's a fad, it'll die down. But, now with the Norway overhaul, and it being on OUAT, and the Christmas show, and the Frozen party at HS (that you can pay extra for premium!), and the voice of Kristoff at the Candlelight processional, and the Elsa drink that's now all over Pinterest, and the 2nd Frozen movie that's already coming out, so it's all just going to keep being pumped into stores and newsfeeds and commercials and movie previews.

I'm telling you that I once was like you. I tolerated it. But, wait. One day you're going to look around you and think to yourself, "If I hear one more thing about Frozen, I'm gonna lose it." Maybe you don't have kids and that's why you don't mind it as much? I don't know. But, it's everywhere and instead of dying down, it JUST KEEPS SPREADING!

I have two daughters. They sing the Frozen soundtrack non-stop. After our May-June trip, I banned Do You Wanna Build a Snowman for a while because I just couldn't take it any more. I get it.

But be realistic. You are not being assaulted by Frozen even if it feels that way. Most of the stuff you are complaining about, you are never going to see. You are acting like Frozen is being shoved down your throat, but really you are grasping at things to build that argument. A drink on Pinterst!?! Seriously?

Is there a lot of Frozen stuff out there? Obviously. And yet, supply still falls short of demand. You're complaining that it keeps gaining in popularity. That doesn't sound like a fad. That sounds like something Disney should be tapping into.

The issue isn't whether or not there should be Frozen at Disney World. There should. As the company's most popular movie, there should be Frozen all over the place. The problem is that Disney's putting it together in a cheap, haphazard fashion. That's an argument I can get behind. "I'm over Frozen" however is just an bellyaching. I can barely tolerate it when my five-year-old bellyaches. It's really grating when an adult does it.

Pot calling the Kettle black here?? I didn't force you to participate in this forum. So if you can "barely tolerate it" (i.e., are "over it"), then just ignore it.

Oh please inform me oh wise one......

I do have a serious question though. You do seem genuinely angry about Frozen......almost to an unhealthy point. Did something happen involving the movie that angers you this much? I'm being serious because you do come across as very personally angry at the movie.

I though Forzen was alright, it was a typical Disney movie to me. It didn't hold a candle to Alladin or The Lion King IMO. However I have a friend with a 7 y/o daughter who loves it and is all about Frozen and all the characters. After just returning from WDW myself I didn't feel it was over saturated at all, with that being said though I don't have daughters or nieces who love the move. Just a sister in law who loves the movie and mainly Olaf. I didn't think the banners up at DHS were any worse than the ones they have up around Epcot for F&W. It's all extra advertising for what's going on. Maybe it's just me but I can't fault Disney in playing toward the hot thing right and taking advantage of it. I will however agree that some parents are way to into it for their children and have ruined other experiences for those of us who don't care about Frozen. I guess its the old, takes one to ruin it for everyone spiel.

Also with the castle lights has it been confirmed that Cinderella won't be in the show? Like maybe Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother ask Elsa to help them with the castle since she knows about ice, or something like that. Not saying it's the best idea but it's something!

First of all, you don't have to be rude in your post to me. I wasn't being rude to you. Second of all, IDK where you got the idea that I'm "personally angry" at a movie to an "unhealthy point". o_O I have said I'm not a fan, and have pointed out to others (on another thread how it doesn't fit in Norway or EPCOT in general, but that doesn't make me "genuinely angry." Yes, the fact that it has puked all over the parks (and probably will more now that Iger is staying for 4 more years), is annoying but I'm not angry, LOL that's just stupid.

DHS-it's all over that park. It also has a predominant take over of many (if not all) of the gift shops in the other parks etc, (EPCOT, MK, etc and DTD). It is pretty much the whole shop in Norway at EPCOT. At MK, Frozen is now in the FoF 3pm parade, also featured in the castle projection preshow to Wishes and Hallowishes, they are at rope drop up front with Mickey, you can't enter MK at rope drop anymore and just go to your ride because of the Anna and Elsa crap. The CM's hold you back and they make CM's from rides in the back of the park like HM come as far as the bridge b/t Liberty Sq and MSUSA hub to do so. So tell me how this isn't "different" or "affecting" things? DTD, etc World of Disney store has a whole section of Frozen stuff and then it's sprinkled throughout other parts of the store. There is more, but I'll stop. I was there right before you, and apparently paid attention to my surroundings while there to notice it. Because I did try to avoid it.
Oh, might I add that Anna and Elsa being in Fairytale Hall and "so in demand" caused the princesses to not meet with their princes this year at MNSSHP? Rapunzel wasn't even there. (Which is fine, we've met her, but meeting Flynn would have been nice).

I understand what the OP is saying, bc it has become way overdone and too much, but to accuse me of being "angry" is laughable.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on Frozen. Have a magical day!

There was a local grade school talent show the other day, every other act was some girl(s) singing a song from Frozen. I think that most of them, if they went to Walt Disney World today, would be upset if they did not see a lot of Frozen stuff. You might not love it but a lot of kids do. Disney is just meeting the expectations of those going to the parks. Just went to Youtube and the Frozen song Let it Go had two posting from Disney and one had 177,386,262 views and the other has 343,453,773. There were pages of other posting of people signing the song each with over a million views. I think Frozen is going to be around for a while.

So the regulars that aren't fans of Frozen should just "put up and shut up" because Disney is overreacting with their Frozen coverage in the parks and presuming that's what "little girls want?" I know of plenty of kids that liked it at first but are sick of it and go to the parks for other things. See: Little Mermaid and other things that have a big following 25 years later. That's staying power! Sorry to break it to Disney, but most of their paying regulars aren't coming for Frozen.

Remember that they are not trying to attract the regulars that always visit. They are already visiting. They are trying to attract new guests if they can. It is simply reactionary by the WDC to the initial popularity of Frozen. If the execs can bump the profit even a little more and the stock will continue to grow at it's current insane pace.

Oh I know. It doesn't mean it sucks any less lol! Maybe if us "regulars" stop going, they'll change their tune. (Probably not but hey it's a thought!)
