ROE consistently pips Fantasmic! in exit surveys as the most popular night time show in WDW.

Expect more enhancements to the current show. And for it not to be running in present form by the 50th.
damn, that's nuts. has it always been that way? i haven't been to wdw in like 7 years, has the quality of fantasmic dropped off heavily?

Are these two different things? More enhancements, yet new show? Or more enhancements, same show by the 50th?

Oh Martin, if only you could tell us more (but I know you can't).

Exciting and good to know though!

IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth is one of my favorite things on property. I'd be sad to see it go, but I'm getting to the point where I expect it to retire.

Of course, I would prefer it just added to and improved and plussed. Keep the music around. Change everything else, if you must. It's the perfect show for EPCOT and has a wonderful message and spirit.

I know a lot of people read the recent article by thisisinfamous.com about the rumored HS changes. There was one line that seemed to grab a lot of people's interest and many asked sporadically about it. The very last line of the article was "Oh, and that doesn’t even include the new nighttime show being lined up for EPCOT to replace Illuminations or the new attraction that will be kicking Journey Into Imagination to the curb."

I know this subject gets stirred up every now and then, but thought it might be nice since this most recent article seemed to point to something closer than anticipated on the horizon, that maybe it should get it's own forum. I hope anyone who has any info on this rumor will kindly way in as I know a lot of people are concerned.

Thanks!

Long standing rumor, even had some saying Steve Davison was behind it- merely a rumor now. But who knows!

I'm simultaneously happy that ROE will continue to get love and end on a high note right before it ends and sad it WILL be leaving us.

Hopefully the new show for the 50th builds on the originality and flair that ROE had.

I love ROE and would much rather see it get upgrades rather than a replacement. Its the best fireworks show on property thematically, artistically, visually, creatively, and musically.

If they turn it into "Reflections of Frozen" then I will seriously murder a puppy...

I too would be sad to see this go. It has the best music and show and meaning of almost anything else on property. I think it's a tall order to replace. I just hope they have the respect for it that it deserves when replacing it.

If there where going to be a new night time show, it might include projections on SpaceShip Earth, they did a projection show on it a few years back with monsters inc. the show starts at 0:42

If Frozen Ever After is the most popular attraction in the park, I can't for a moment imagine a replacement for Illuminations that didn't feature 'Let It Go' as the centrepiece song, accompanied by visuals from Frozen 2 or whatever they'll be promoting by then.

Couldn't agree more. Update the screens on the globe, get some new types of fireworks, and maybe add some World of Color type fountains around the lagoon and keep RoE going strong.

I agree. I love the pre-show music that can be heard throughout the park leading up to the show itself. I actually listen to that music pretty regularly, and it's about an hour long. There's so much they can do to update the show and make it better than anything else they could drum up in their creative department.

For all those 'why change..." Or what could you add...

All on needs to do is look at toyko's f! Show to see how there can still be crazy new innovative concepts even for shows in the round

I for one welcome a new Epcot fireworks show...

Or just take some of those impressive effects and incorporate them into the existing Illuminations show.
