If you hate the hat at DHS, now is the time to say something.

I know I would be, but I find it hard to believe that Disney has no plans for AK whatsoever.

Fixing the stagnant cryptid and the supposed changes around KS seem to be the top items in the queue for AK right now....

My advice...

Stop focusing on the Hat and focus instead on something like getting back the Country Bear Xmas show, Lights of Winter and other eliminated Xmas season offerings.

Agreed, but I wouldn't want to overwhelm them or anything....

I was actualy thinking along the lines of something like a new attraction to take the burden out of EE. One day they will have to shut it down for a while, and when that day comes I think TDO would like to be prepared to avoid losing guests.

Maybe I am just too optimistic.

Not to interupt your current conversation, but I would like to comment on the subject of the thread.

I like the hat, just hate the location. I would rather see the Chinese Theater.

Also, the fact that the hat is just a shop kinda bugs me.

The optimist in me would like to say you're not. :)

The pragmatist in me however......

Is the fact that the "Hat" is still in the park the biggest problem at DHS? There seems to be a new thread about the hat every couple of months, yet IMO the park is lacking in draw, and the hat has nothing to do with it.

I would hope that Disney is putting their efforts into making the park more than a half day park and not whether to move the hat.

It is far from being the park's biggest problem - to me that award goes to the broken and now meaningless backlot area - but it is the easiest one to solve.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The hat doesn't keep me from going or staying in the park, but areas like the backlot do. There are only so many times you can ride the same handful of rides or see the same shows over and over before you finally say forget this park I'll go where there is at least more options.

The hat has nothing to do with that, nor does the view it is supposedly blocking.

No, it's not. But the biggest problem might be the lack of cohesive theme or convincing place making, and the hat contributes to that.
