If you hate all that is Disney?

It’s priced at the absolute highest they think they can get away with. Which year on year gets higher.

To say otherwise is to be in denial.

It's not denial when I can clearly see how much I spend on food at home and how much I spent at Disney. We paid very similar prices, yes often more but not insanely crazy amounts more. Depending on where you live maybe food is cheaper for you.

I skipped a trip to Cedar Point this year because I didn’t want to spend $1500 for 3 days there, chose to do something else instead... and that was with having Platinum passes, so park admission already covered.

I expect for Disney to be the same or more than what I’d pay at an Amusement Park. Surprisingly, Disney’s QS is actually less.

Wow I didn't realize cedar point was that high. We've talked about going there someday but I haven't priced it. My mom grew up in Sandusky and always made it sound small and quaint. Of course maybe it was back then ;)

Three nights at Castaway Bay ($327.98) with two season passes ($144 ea) for Cedar Point including All day dining for 3 days for two adults, unlimited photo downloads, and parking ($232.43) comes to $848.41. You can check on their website to confirm.

That also includes water park tickets with the room.

Maybe gas costs $650? :joyfull:

Thanks! I'll have to take a look, my grandmother just moved back last month so we have another reason to visit. Of course there are 6 of us so it won't be that cheap but it gives me a good idea.

At Hotel Breakers Fri- Mon in early July .., which is the only hotel I stay at there. Rusty’s math is quite a bit off on the passes..and I didn’t include their prices in my quote regardless. I did include Fast Lane because I would never go to CP without it. But, I didn’t include food in my price quote either... or fuel.lol. Lodging and Fast Lane only... with my AP discount included. Food prices are higher than WDW at least at two Cedar Fair parks that I know of.
I highly recommend a visit though!

Don’t want you to have extremely misleading info.

By the way, my dates were the first weekdays in June. I guess if one wanted to compare the nicest resorts, one could compare dates to the Grand Floridian, or the Polynesian resort. May as well compare the Platinum passes as well. Apples and apples and all that. :joyfull:

Just for fun, I thought I'd price the same vacation at WDW. Three nights at the Poly, 3 day ticket, Memory Maker, and Deluxe Dining will run you $2,984.86. :joyfull:

If you wanted APs in leu of the three day one park ticket, add $1538. Your resort stay will drop to $1,732.50, but you'll be on the hook for food and pictures out of pocket.

If you update the Cedar Point vacation to include Platinum passes, you'll jump to 991.43, leaving $508 for gas money.

This is kind of fun, maybe for my next vacation I can have you two try to prove each other wrong and find me a great deal at the same time :joyfull:
Ha ha. I tend to only quote prices of places that I’ve actually been to, including a price quote that I didn’t feel like paying for on a specific weekend. Maybe when he goes to CP he can take photos of the food prices for us and show us how much lower they are than WDW. :)

But seriously, I do highly recommend CP if you get a chance... definitely make the investment into the Fast Lane, it’s totally worth it!! Just research with your own eyes, not what someone makes up on the internet during the time the park isn’t even open. You may be in for a shock when you arrive at the front gate ;)

I have found the those that are often labeled as "trolls" often have the deepest love for disney...

Sometimes its longing for the past...and sometimes it's out of concern that things are going the wrong way and they are trying to at least make that a conscious concern to customers...

There's usually a "blue lining" to a grey cloud.

There are other places where you have to be happy...because there's a financial incentive by those that own/run the sites to promote advertising or other business goals...those are more pro-disney consistently. Some even employ former dentist keyboard napoleons to make sure marshal law and pixie dust addiction is ensured...I've heard.

Wow, is Cedar Point that expensive now??? I went as a teenager in the 60's, and it wasn't very well attended. You could go there anytime and get right on any ride. I think there was only the wooden roller coaster at that time? Can't quite remember. But it was fun. I also don't remember how much it cost, but it couldn't be much for some teenagers without much money:)
