If WDW would add a new theme park, what would you want the theme to be?

As much as I love the idea of adding these smaller attraction such as 7DMT solely because there is a chance for them to become classics like Peter Pan or Winnie the Pooh, WDW really has to add some major thrill rides in their future expansions. Universal is improving exponentially right now, while it seems as though WDW is just plateauing. If I was head of WDW, im not adding a new park, Im improving the current ones. Add a Star Wars Coaster, Monsters Inc. attraction and maybe something else in Pixar Land to DHS, expand AK with an Australia section and finally build Avatarland, totally refurb Tommorrowland, and add some sort of new coaster to Epcot.

If you're calling anything at disney a rollercoaster (Rockin' Roller Coaster and Space Mountain are not exactly El Toro or Nitro) then you need to go to an actual amusement park...

excuse me? Rockin Roller Coaster is a roller coaster. having different tastes in thrill doesn't take away from what the actual definition, and intention, of a coaster.

and what i meant by the post was that there is at least one "themed" roller coaster in every single park. having a thrill park shouldn't be the example of having themed roller coasters, when Disney delivers themes even for their non E-Ticket attractions. sometimes much better than anything Universal comes up with.

if you're saying every park in Disney doesn't have a roller coaster then you need to rethink your definition then because...

Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain
Rockin' Roller Coaster
Expedition Everest

an amusement park/theme park isn't defined by what Six Flags does. there are better parks in the world. which is why i accept that Disney falls short on a few things.

expand your spectrum of entertainment.

I believe the world is ripe if not screaming for a entirely new WDW thrills theme park ... not a remodel or adding a few modern roller coasters but an entirely new park. It is without a doubt exactly what WDW and the world needs right now. I say put those billions to work and build the darn thing already! Halfway between AK and the rest of the World would be nice. Would make for a great setting for new Resorts.

Great place to do a "World of Color"! Call it "Disney's Worldscape"! Theme the rides around planets, science, space etc...

Continually building resorts without parks adds to more overcrowding. Reality is, Fantasyland is a fraction of the size needed to accommodate insatiable Disneyite's quest for fun. A predominately adult/teen oriented park in WDW would be awesome.

I think the reason Disney avoids thrill-oriented parks is because the type of crowd parks like that tend to attract. Rowdy teens, etc. Think your local Six Flags. Now I'm all for big thrills, and I'm not knocking Six Flags either, but this is most likely why this hasn't happened yet. The phrase "family-oriented" is a very loaded term.

Considering Disney just expanded its FantasyLand, I don't think it needs another themed park quite yet. I know two waterparks is the perfect amount, including all the millions of pools they have but, a fantasy themed water park. Picture Pixie Hallow with bright floral colors, clear, "clean" lazy rivers, a fun water raft down a valley, a garden even the boys will love. A perfect mix of nature and the imagination of Disney!
No, I'm not seeing this a girls dream come true, fairy park but, just a fantasy forest themed. Sure, doesn't hurt to put Tinker Bell in there but, I'm not saying it should ONLY be that. Maybe it could also be a cross of Alice in Wonderland. I can easily see gigantic, plastic mushrooms for decor, and large fake oaks for even more. This can easily be created and fit perfectly to the Disney family!
I think it should be called Fantasia Grove or Imagine Creek...

Hmm, an Atlantis themed water-park would be cool, but they have to many of those else where.....

Whatever it is it had better be broad enough that they can put differently themed attractions in no matter what public tastes change to. Imagine if Disney had made Crockettland back when Crockettmania was going on, the park's theming would have been destroyed over time as execs desperately tried to keep it popular. Is 101 Dalmations related to Davey Crockett? Close enough! As full fledged parks a lot of these ideas are pretty terrible but they'd make decent lands. As such I'd probably put "fantastic worlds" as the theme and have each land dedicated to a particular movie franchise. You'd get a Tatooine styled Star Wars area, Carsland, Oz, Avatarland, Muppetsland, an indoor Andy's Room and I guess a black and white classic film style street to stand in for MSUSA. If any one area gets too dated or unpopular just rip it out and put a new thing in its place.

An idea I had was Disney's Mysterious Island. Similar in structure to DisneySea in tokyo, it would take it's cues from exploration and adventuring. Featuring a Dark Kingdom style area for Villains, an Indiana Jones area with WDW's first real Indy attraction, an Agrabah section with Aladdin Dark Ride, and like DisneySea, a possible clone (or modified version) of Mystic Manor, possibly an Adventurer's Club dining option, and a Jules Verne center themed land with a a Volcano as the park icon.

The main lagoon area could be used to stage an evening show that could feature similar effects to World of Color (although I think World of Color should stay in DCA, this show should be a new story)
