This last rendering is the actual platforms and some costumes, etc.

The platforms rise like those light swords Disney sells for night shows. small inside bigger inside bigger inside biggest. The fire at the bottom is not real, just like a prop. Minnie is in a can-can outfit. Mickey is wearing a goldish otufit with a fiery headress and shooting pyro out his fingers. Those colorful things are like roung rings around hydrolic shafts to add to decor hung b strings hanging from platform. Mickey's will be only one staight up, others are diagonal. Need more info, ask. - The WeirdOne :D

I've posted my drawing on how the Fantasmic show will be presented in the pictures thread. Go check it out!:) By the way, Weird one, your show looks really neat. Although, I agree with Meeko, it doesn't really belong in the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom has a blend of far off places in some lands. It doesn't really repesent different contries in harmony like WS. It's still a very neat idea. It could go in one of the new theme parks we will design later on.

Are you saying the fliers will be repelling into the crowd? How are they able to get backstage? No too fond of the Mickey costume, but the platforms themselves look good. However, I thought we desided that the Stage would be in the center hub and not butting agaist the Castle? I posted a map of the hub on the photo post, apparently you didn't see it. Also, I though we could put the partner's statue at the Entrance by the Train Station insteed of at the Hub.

As for my sketches, I'm not sure exactly you didn't understand. I'll post something on the Chit Chat board Picture post that hopefully will help you unerstand.

Not landing in the crowd, they FLY OVER the crowd. I didn't feel justified to extend those lines further, I thought you'd get the idea.

The Mickey costume is a suggestion. It'll really be gold or it could be Sorcerer Mickey. Again, it's all a matter of choice.

About the Partner's statue, sure. As for the stage, if it's in the center of the hub, the viewing possibilites are killed. I thought we agreed it would be infront of the castle, but towards the middle of that area.

And also, where is this picture post? I can't find it. Can someone provide a link.

Finally, my show works. The theme of this show is "places your imagination can take you with the Blazin' Rhythms of your heart." It so works with the Magic Kingdom, don't even give me this excuse. If Fantasmic! does, so does this. - The WeirdOne :D

Expect one more cool drawing tomorrow of the "Glass Box Concept". Ask FigmentDream, he knows ;).

And as for the castle stage, putting on a show with the auience on four sides is harder than with the audience on one where I have it. - The WeirdOne :D

I guess you're right Weird One. Sorry, but I was't making an excuse not to have it.:) By the way, I've checked out the poll for what show we should use, and it appears that Blazin rythems and Fantasmic are tied by 2 votes. I've got an idea, why don't we have both shows? Certain nights, Blazin Rythems can show and other nights, Fantasmic can show. What do you think? Every night will be the fire works show. By the way, about the pictures post, it's in the Chit Chat forums labled "Pictures". Meeko posted a link for it a while ago, could you post it again Meeko? I cannot provide a successful link to it. Thanks!:D

All right I feel I need to step in now and say a few things

First of all the idea of having a poll of people not working on this who may or may not have any skill of designing parks and or shows is pure lunacy. Plus additional ideas and clarifications were not put into the poll so any opinions based off that should be null and void.

Here is what I suggest we do, that will essentially use all the show concepts.

1) Blazin' Rhythm has so far shown the most developed content and best use of the castle/main street area, and WierdOne has clearly stated a theme that works great with MK. It is completely unique unlike anything else previously offered and it has been developed the best. So this will be the nightly show inthe castle/mainstreet area

2)We can have both shows, but it would be a logistics nightmare to have them in the same place, and just the concept of putting Fantasmic! off-spring in front of the castle seems to defeat the purpose of the show. Why don't we just make a separate stadium for Imagieeryboy's show and then he and Meeko can combine their ideas and fuse their show together, to simply create a new version of Fantasmic! which could run in addition as an extra on Friday and Saturday nights.

3) We can have the Beauty and the Best show on a seasonal basis either at the caste(since it seems to require less use of the stage if I remember the original post) or at a new location

I hope this pleases everyone and we can finally move on

Well, I guess the tribe has spoken. Last time I checked Blazin Rythms was leading the poll and aparently the feeling is largely the same on this borad. If we do it, The Castle will need to be adjusted slightly to accomidateastage. I've seen the overhead shots that WierdOne sketched, but I'm not sure how it would look in front of the Castle itself. If soeone could take the Castle sketch and add the stage to it to give us an idea of how it would look, I woud be veyappreciative.

Also, I'm still not thrilled with the fliers going over the crowds. Then there would have to be those wires over the hub at all times the same way Tinker Bell's is always up. I just don't like the idea of that many wores always being there.

Mickey's costume just looks a little too Vegas for an MK Castle show. Maybe something a little more fanciful, but I think Sorcerer Mickey wouldn't work very well at all.

I really don't think we need all three shows, so we'll just stick with Blazin' rythms. Maybe we can take the ideas from some of the other shows and turn them into a nighttime parade.

I guess I agree. How about my version of the Fantasmic show be in Down Town Disney. It could have its own theater there. By the way, Wannabe Walt, are you still going to do Frontierland? We need to kind of get the lands done. Has anyone seen Wannabe Walt lately? I hope he isn't having troubles getting online after that downtime thing that WDWmagic had. Any way, I'm going to tell you guys about the Cranium Command thing with Donald and the new Cartoon Spin later.:)

Hey Weird One, could you decide on a show that could be presented in the Tomorrowland theater? I'd appreciate it!:D YOu have good ideas for shows.

By the way, I have another idea to make the wire less visible. During the day, the wire can be stretching out behind the castle. When show time comes ever closer, the tower where the tinker bell actor arrives after flight, will mover on a rail that goes around Fantaseyland and Toon Town, and around Tomorrowland until it gets nearMain Sreet. The tower can move up and down so the wire doesn't tread on any big trees or space mountain. Tinker Bell can then fly down the wire at night over the crowd on Main Sreet. If you don't understand a word I'm saying, I'll draw it out for you.:)

Some comments.

First, meeko, I'll sketch what the stage will look like because the stage drawing I have isn't very explanatory.

Second, the fliers can easily be accomidated. In 2003, wires that hold people can be so thin, they'll be hardly visible from the naked eye being so high. Plus, they'll be flying down with banners and such, it's not like it'd detracting from the show.

Third, you guys can deciede on a better costume for Mickey, I personally felt this one went along with the whole Tribal thing. Where should I go with the costume, you guys let me know.

Fourth, for your Tomorrowland show, what kind of theme or something do you want? An intergalactic revue? Space Fantasy? What? Pick anything and I'll try to make up a decent show because Tomorrowland is so limited in theme.

Fifth, glass box concept in a little bit, I need to go get access to my scanner.

Sixth, script posted soon. Just need to find time.

Seventh, meeko, in order to fit a show inside Fantasyland, move the Storybook Canal boats on the other side of the railroad tracks and look at how much space is freed up.

Okay guys, time to get to work. - The WeirdOne :D

About the show, how about a show like Galaxy Search. Not entirely like it, but somting along the lines of it. It could star Mickey and his friends who are all dressed up in futeristic Space Suits. They can do musical numbers and such. Sort of like that. I'll see if I can maybe draw a Mickey costume for Blazin Rythems. By the way, we can't move the Story book land boats behind Fantaseyland, because that's where Toon Town is.

How about a holiday themed park? It could have different lands in it themed to different holidays like 4th of July, Haloween, Christmas, etc. What do you think?

I think it would take too much time to renovate and change holidays that often. I mean, between 4th of July and Halloween, what would they put? ALso, not everyone celebrates Christmas. I do, many others do but not everyone does. It also wouldn't have much time to switch from CHristmas to New Years.

Well, it was just a theme park idea I had. I'm not saying it would change from Holiday to Holiday, but it would have different themed areas in the park themed to different holidays. Like one land would be themed to Haloween, one would be themed to Christmas. It's not like it would renovate the whole park to a differnt holiday. Every time a holiday rolls around.

In that case, put Storybookland behind Toad with a path leading from it and move Toontown a bit closer to "it's a small world". Did you guys ever see the Fantasyland I designed for the Down Under Resort, well, go there and look, you can make this one similar in a way.

Second, for your show, I've never seen Galaxy Search, so I really have no clue, but I've got an idea for your show. HEHE!

Third, I think that the costume design you rew up was good, but makes him look too much like he's from space. Lemme try to do some more of my renderings and see where I get. - The WeirdOne :D

Here's the glass box concept. This is the beginning of the show and it works very effectively. There's a glass box risen on stage and all of a sudden, pixie figures glow under it and flap their wings. This box will be lighten up so you can tell there's noone inside. Then all of a sudden the box will rise upwards spinning with the pixies flying it upwards and fiber optics producing their trail and leaving glowing stars, etc. The fiber optics towards the bottom won't glow as much as the ones towards the top. THen the box will go dark but you'll still be able to see thru it partially and sparkle on the sides, etc and a few seconds later the box lights p and guess who, but Mickey's inside. The box goes back down to the ground and Mickey steps out of it and it sinks into the stage when fire bursts around it and then Mickey rises on his platform with the others one following shortly. Here's the pic. - The WeirdOne :D

That makes sense. Just have more celebrations so more people can come. Maybe do something with Epcot. I heard it's attendance isn't that great. The holiday seems pretty good though.
