Here's a revised version. Hope you like it.

As the first note of the fanfare music to the show begins, the area from the Castle all the way up Main Street starts to shine as twinkle lights set a Fantasy moode to the night. Over the intercoms comes the voice of the nairattor. As "When You Wish Upon A Star" plays, he beins the nairatton "Once upon a time, in a far away land, there was a magic kingdom. A place where wishes came true, where fantasies became realities, and with some faith, some trust, and a bit of pixie dust, any dream, no matter how great, can come true. This is that place, and may tonight truly be to you, a dream come true."During this the Castle begins to magically change colors and Tinker Bell makes her appearence in the Castle's highest turret and flies down over the crowd via a wire. As soon as she dissapears from site, a single firework explode in the air that looks like a star. The music segues into The Sill Song from "Snow White" as fireworks fireworks dance in the skies overhead to the music. As the last note plays, the sky explodes with blue fireworks and the Genie appears on the Castle. He says "The Genie of the lamp at your service. Got a wish? Well if you want it to come true, all you have to do is say..." and breaks eks out into the chorus of friend like me. While he performs, a number of heram girls and simitars dance around the Castle After they finish their dance with a big exlposion of fireworks, the music slows and Ariel appears on a rock next to the waterfall next to the Castle. She says "Some say dreams come true, but sometimes it seems dreams are too incredable to ever do that. Just look at me." She then starts to sing a selection of "Part of Your World" as fountains begin to rise from the moate. At the end of her song, the Evil Queen from "Snow White" steels Ariel's final line singing "Part of MY World" and, with an evil cackle appears in the Castle Tower with a puff of smoke. She proclaims "You want to see a dream come true, ehh? Well, welcome to MY dream!" With a wave of her hand, fireworks explode in the air and the lighting dark, spooky shades as terrible dancing gargoyals dance on the castle to the tune of "Night of Bald Mountain". The cackeling Ursula comes appears near the moute and proclaims "The seas are now mine to comands! To controll!" the seas as her own causing fountains of water rise from the moate. Next Gaston appears at the Castle and says that he must kill the Beast. The Beast appears and a battle ensues. Belle appears at the Castle Tower and screams for Gaston to stop. Gaston defeats the Beast and tells hims that the villains have won. The Evil Queen and Urusla reappear and laugh in victory. Belle cries "No, please, don't leave me. I love you". The villains scream "No!" and dissapear in puffs of smoke. The Castle begins to sparkle (thanks to fiber optics) and change colors back to its fantasy-like self as the "Transformation" music plays. Belle and her Prince, a human Ariel and Prince Eric, and Prince Ali and Jasmine appear on the balconies of the Castle at the high point of the music and wave to the crowd. Then, the Castle is filled with favorite characters as they dance to an original song a la Fantasmic. Fireworks fill the sky for the finale as the nairator finishes the story saying "And they lived Happily ever after", at which the castle goes dark and the lights come up on Main Street.

I think it fits fine at any MK as it shows you the far off and fanciful places you can visit when you use your imagination and that could be worked into the show, somewhere.

I really like the exapandablity idea, and certaitnly it may not change for 2-3 years, the following show would relaly not need to be that similar but it would help sort of tie this not so direct but apportriat theme to the park

Even if the theme if not quite as obviously related as yours, Meeko, so far the content displayed is quite superior, so unless you can show expand upon your show and add some unique features to it, I think that there is no question not to go with Blazin Rhythms (although I would like to add something in-front of the name, still)

Also Fantasmic! @ DL is not infront of the castle, complelty different situation

True, it is imaginative, but so is ToN, Reflections of Earth, and Eureka and I would hate to see them in Mk. Just because its imaginative doesn't mean it fits into MK. It may just be me, but tribal rythems, Lion King type puppets and a finale of Caribbean music is just not my vision for MK. I didn't approve of the ImagiNations Parade either, so don't bring that into it. Sorry if I'm being harsh here, but that's my oppinion and its perfectly legitamite.

Still not convinced on the logistics either. I'm not comfortable at having the bulk of the show visable to only a selected view while the majority of the crowd on Main Steet is left out.

Well, your revision is better, but it's a bit too much like Fantasmic! for my liking

My point about Imagination was it was that it could be rearranged to promote that these places are where your Imagination can take you if you use them, too far off places, to a silly carnival or to beautiful france. There is some country undertones, but they exist in MK already, Fantasyland is very Bavarian, Adventureland is colonial UK, Liberty Square is obviously US east coast, nationalities are already present and if they are secondary to a more core theme then I think it would be appropriate.

As far as logistics if the platforms are high, enough they should be about as visible from mainstreet as the caste, plus couldn't we redesign mainstreet to be more visible or have a very large hub area?

Sounds good. Actually, the beginning part may be very good for the regular fireworks show. Here's my idea for the Fantasmic show in front of the castle.

The people will watch from down Main Street. Not on the Hub. There will be blankets provided for people to sit on. Main Street could be slanted. Although, it will be slanted at such a small angle that no one will notice. The street will be slanted so people can see the show better, of corse, noone will realize it. The castle will have a draw bridge so the fountain screen can spray up from the mote around the hub when the draw bridge is up. The screen will be in front of the castle though. Any way, also, the trees in the hub will be fake trees, because regular ones may catch fire during a show. Many of the stages where some scenes will be presented will be hidden during the day. I don't know how yet, but I will figure this out later. Also, the lighting fictures, speakers, control rooms, and every thing else will be hidden during the day.

Here is the show:

It has the same beginning as the other Fantasmic. Mickey will appear on a balcony on the castle and direct fountains, sparks etc. Also, sparks come from the tips of his fingers. There will be the projected Scorcerer's Aprentice scene, bubble scene ( bubbles will be blown from the roofs of Main Street and sprinkles down onto the audience on Main Street. Then, it shows Mickey going down the whirl pool and asks what's going on as usual. Then the castle and MSt. goes completely dark when theres a small explosion and lights revael Gaston and his crew on the top of the castle. "I say we kill the Beast!" he says and they attack the castle. But Lumier, Cogsworth and the gang jump out and fight his hench men. Gaston attacks the beast and Gaston falls to his death when Bell holds beast's hand and the Disney Princess scene is queued. The Princess boats float down the moat where the people can see them and then they float away. A stage off to the side of the castle will present the Queen talking to the projeced Magic mirror and turning into the witch. See calls all of the forces of evil. Hades, Ursula, and Jafar complement on this, and a giant Ursula puppet appears on a side stage of the castle. She says some magical spells and shoots smoke from her hands. Smoke blowers from the roofs of Main Street Blow smoke onto the crowd untill they are completely ungulfed. The projected Chernabog starts the "Night on Bald Mountain" sequence. Giant Projected shadows of hands sweeps across the audience. Then there's the Malefecient scene. The dragon appears on the roof tops of the castle and shoots flames catching the mote on fire. Mickey saves the day as usual. For the finale, characters dance around the hub while scocerer Mickey directs fire works and lasers from the top spire of the castle. Fire works errupt from variouse places around the Magic Kingdom. Then it's the end. Whew! That's alot! What do you think?

If that's the theme, maybe it should be made more clear. I had no idea what the theme was supose to be while reading it other than Illuminations25 with characters added.

The logistics of the characters on the platforms don't bother me at all, nor do the performers actually on the Castle but the dancers do. I'm assuming they will not on platforms? Maybe if they were on the Castle or at least on top of the hills on either side of the castle it would be all right, but if they're on ground level, I don't like the idea. Also, maybe not keep the character platforms viewable at all times and just have them rise during their number and for the finale. It really does no good to have the character just standing there doing nothing. Also, I would keep the finale a little more traditional Disney and maybe replace the "Be Our Guest" number with a more Caribbean number with Little Mermaid or something.

Imageneer Boy, if they thought mine was too similar to Fantasmic, they'll go nuts when they see your sugestion. Personally I think it's good since I like Fantasmic, but I think that they'll want something at least a little more different than that (if not a lot).

On an unrelated subject, I'll have the shops and restaurants map for Fantasyland posted soon, hopefuly.

Well, the theme is my variant sugestion to make the theme mesh more

WierdOne, Is there any way you could end on a more general themed number? Not just for MK theme purposes but just for the show in genderal, like a medley number of the other varites or something?

Yes, Imagineerboy yours is way too much like Fantasmic!, but I am not flipping our about it :rolleyes:

The Hub is in the center, that is surrounded by a walkway, and that is surounded by water. It is a tad confusing. It's similar to the one at WDW, if that helps.

Since we havn't been able to decisde on which nighttime show to use, I've posted a poll on the Chit Chat board on which show they think should be used. Sort of like asking the public's oppinion on a work-in-progress. One thing I ask is that those who created and wrote the shows (myself, WeirdOne, Imageneer Boy, and daoVinci) do not vote. If you have not, you are welcome to choose the one you like best. Here's the link: Poll.

Well, baisicly, it is Fantasmic. I thought that it would be unique to have a Fantasmic show in front of the castle. By the way, about the stages, they will be hidden in the hills that are along the side of the castle as seen in my picture. They will raise up with the actors on them when it is their qeue.

Wow, I can't believe I did that. Oops. :D Thanks so much FigmentDream for the correction. Otherwise, we'd have alot of confused posters here. Anyway, the first link I posted is the Picture post, to which I've added a new map of Fantasyland with Shops and Restaurants added.

I think this poll is highly biased. Because people see Fantasmic, they automiatically thik great quality. I do not think that is a fair judge ont he gage of the popularity of the show.

Second, my idea was just a basic outline, the whole show in way has changed with all of the numbers rearranged.

Third, about my logistics. Maybe you didn't read this, but the show tkaes place on Main Street and the Hub, the people in the hub just have slighty better sightlines for a few of the effects like when characters dissapear using trap doors, etc. The same shows basically take place on Main Street.

Fourth, the characters on the rising and falling platforms do dance and do stuff while in the air, not just sit there.

Fifth, the current outline of my show is this:

#1 - Opening (Blazin' Rhythms Theme Song [Mickey])
#2 - Can-Can (Minnie)
#3 - Topsy Turvey (Donald)
#4 - Japanese Drums/Asia (Chip/Dale)
#5 - African Pridelands (Goofy)
#6 - Carribean (Pluto)
#7 - Celebration (Mickey And The Gang)
#8 - Finale (Blazin' Rhythms Reprise [Mickey])

Sixth, your show in a sense also has poor sightlines since the bluk of the show is in the moat, the stage, and alot of it in the castle (which is visible). Wouldn't yours contain more of a logistics nightmare? I see we are quick to react to others ideas ;). - The WeirdOne :D

The characters in my show aren't just sitting there. They will be doing things that they're supposed to do. Sort of like in the Fantsmic show. They act when it is their qeue and the lights pointing to their stage will go off and people's attention will be redirected to somthing else ( like screen projection ). When this happens, their stage goes down to reload for the next performers who come out on qeue. When the castle is visible is some villains scenes ( no lights are shown on the castle when screen projections take place ) when the dragon scene comes, the castle colors turn to greesy, grimey, geenish. I believe that people would be able to see the boats in the moat. If not, have the floats go around the hub. They will be on wheeles and lit up so people can see them. I know, this is a logics night mare. It's hard to type your vision to other people. Oh well, those are some corrections to my Fantasmic idea.

It appears you misunderstand. None of the preformances, besides the fountains, take place in the moat or the stage. All the action takes place on the Castle turrets with the exception of Ariel and Ursula, who appear on the hills next to the castle, which is about a story tall. Everyone gets the same view no matter if they're a foot away from the Castle or in Town Square. No logistics nighmare here. ;)

As for the platforms, there is no easy way to do it. If you would plan to have this show run for only three or so years like previously mentioned, making trap doors large enough to 1) hold characters 2) rise to a signifigant height and 3) allow them to do more that stand there would probably take up all the greenspace and stage room in the Hub. This gives me plenty of concerns about safty for the performers. Also, if you still have people repelling off the Castle, there would also have to be padding on the hills bellow them.

First, thank you for clearing yours up.

Second, there is an easy way to do it. and not compromise the safety of the performers, plus the temporary castle stage covers the equipment used. I've seen something 10 feet tall rise almost 3 times as high (in a Disney show) and over a lagoon and still no compromise the performer's safety. And no, these trap doors and lifts all take up relatively little space, only the size of the stage and nothing more. As for the performers leaping off the castle on wires, Tinkerbell does the same thing, I don't see any problem. - The WeirdOne :D

I would probably have to see some sketches of the platforms to see how they would look. I can't quite picture them. Is there any way you could do a sketch of them so I have some idea where these platforms would look and how much room the show would take up. It's a tad difficult to try to design the Hub as I have been trying to do without understanding what exactly you would need if the show was greenlighted. My map of the hub is on the Picture post on the Chit Chat board. The round area in front of the Castle is the stage.

OKay, this is my view of the hub. Here's the key:

P = Partners Statue
Blobs = Trees
Circle = Fountain
Castle = Behind Walkway Behind Stage

Enjoy! - The WeirdOne :D
