my father, his gf, my brother, myself and my boyfriend will be in WDW sept 19th - 26th staying at Pop Century. My boyfriend and I are going to take one night where it is just the two of us. I am 22 and he is 25. We aren't really interested in pleasure island, just a nice comfortable fun night for the two of us. I am the Disney expert of the 2 of us (this will be my 14th trip) but i have never gone with a significant other. him and i have dated off and on for 5 years and now its serious (i actually have heard him telling people how he wants to propose to me in wdw but thats not something im going to dwell on lol). So I know many of you are creative and have good ideas to share so what would be something good for us to do? we were thinking about a nice evening at world showcase and a nice dinner but i don't know. i need some ideas thanks guys!

Spend some time in WS, and end the evening at Mexico to watch I:ROE. As the night ends, walk the long way around WS. As you do, the crowds will thin and you will have an almost empty WS to yourselves to stroll through.

I do this everytime after I watch ROE. It's great!!!!

California Grill

For my DW's birthday we went to the California Grill and had an excellent dinner and then watched the fireworks from the balcony off of the restaurant. It was very nice!

I concur wholeheartedly (which is a nice way of saying "crap, you beat me to it" :D )

I believe Fort Wilderness also has carriage rides, but PO-R would be more romantic.

You could also try having dinner at a Poly restaurant, and then lounging in a hammock.

Dinner at the Rose and Crown, preferably outside, and timed so you can remain seated and enjoy the fireworks at closing (this is where I proposed, highly recommended)

If you can swing it, dinner at the Cali Grill, timed so you can see the fireworks. Maybe he'll be inspired to propose then.

If you don't have a budget... Make dinner reservations at Bistro di Paris in EPCOT for about 8:00. Watch the fireworks from one of the tables by the window. When you are done with dinner the park is usually closed and you have it all to yourselves. It is really beautiful when its empty. Very romantic.

That's how my wife and I spent our anniversary together this year.

we were thinking about a nice evening at world showcase and a nice dinner.

In my opinion, that would be one of the best things to do. Go and take your time eating at one of the countries. Highly recommend Le Cellier or Le Chef's, even San Angel Inn for the atmosphere. Then cap it off with Illuminations and maybe a walk to the boardwalk.

Jiko & the Animal Kingdom Lodge

I, too, love World Showcase & the atmosphere there, but for a romantic night that is different, I'd suggest dinner @ Jiko (itself a fantastic experience with a romantic atmosphere and great food) & then a walk around the grounds of the Animal Kingdom Lodge - that's one of the reasons we love staying there - the atmosphere at night is very romantic, usually quite private, and removed from the parks for a change of pace.

When EPCOT closes after I:ROE . . . is it open to walk around the countries? Do the drink/food areas and shops stay open? We are getting married a week from today :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: and we will be in Disney for two days (before our cruise)! We are planning to end our day in the parks at EPCOT so I was wondering about what happens after I:ROE is over.

we love to hang out around dtd. we eat a nice dinner at fulton's or potrobello then do some shopping (sometimes real, sometimes window) the we head to ghiradelli's for dessert and sit over by the water. it's really romantic for us anyways.

This is my favourite couple time activity too!!! Fulton's is always great..
