I just saw the pics of the upcoming 2005 Ford Mustang. This is the first new mustang I like... I think I'm in love...

This is just the concept vehicle...the production vehicle will be based off of this and from what I hear...and it'll be pretty close. They project their concepts 2005 to get feedback from the potential buyers, to show off what they can do, a trial and error (especially for cars with completely new platforms). (Also remember...a 2005 production vehicle will probably hit the showrooms in September of 2004...but, being a sports car, you may have to wait until after the first of the year).

Rob, I agree...the GT Fastback Coupe is the way to go...I really don't like the look of the GT Convertible...it loses something with the lack of flowing lines to the rear deck. (There are pics in the car thread of both)

The Mustang is really the only Ford product that I do like (their trucks don't seem reliable and seem cheaply built (my father, uncle, and entire fleet at my company are Ford trucks...so I know)
The Thunderbird is growing on me more and more also...and that GT-40 (hehe Jer). Ok, so I like 2 Fords...potentially 3 :)

Yes I have...VERY NICE...and it takes after the old beetle in more ways than just looks :) 0-60 in 11.4 seconds :hurl: (Ok, so the original went 0-60...MAYBE) (That car is begging for the Turbo!)

I thought the 1.8 turbo was an option? Even in my Passat that engine rocks.

It isn't yet...but they're just holding it back...I think late spring early summer. (They figure that they can sell enough of the little engines because of the "newness" of it)

thanks a bunch for the info, Freak!

and that is one HELL of a VW!!! :sohappy: speaking of VW's, i was really wanting this particular one someone was selling last year...dark green, '72 Bug, $2,000, good condition. i immediately fell in love...but i didn't have the money (still don't...gotta get a job first) plus, even if i DID have the money, dad wouldn't let me get it...said i wouldn't be protected enough if i had a wreck  he'd probably say the same thing even if i wanted a friggin army tank, lol! the Bug stayed around for probably around a month and a half, but it was quickly sold :(
