I think I'm going to flip out!

I called Disney number to confirm that we have the pirate room, water view for all of those in our party (3 rooms). We paid extra (I have the paperwork) for the Pirate rooms. Well I find out that only 1 of 3 has the pirate room. She said the others are water view. The cast member pretty much told me tough luck and she couldn't verify any information since I booked on the web and not via phone. And the paperwork I have is only worth the paper it is printed on. I asked to speak to a manager because I would like this cleared up prior to our arrival and she said a manager could not help me out. What should I do?? I'm about to have a melt down:cry:

Call back. If you booked a specific type of room that costs more than other rooms, you are entitled to what you paid for. If the CM you reach can't fix it, demand to speak to a Manager and don't let them tell you what a Manager can or can't do.

Sounds like when you asked for a Manager the CM panicked and then succeeded in talking you out of talking to one, thus stayed out of trouble.

OMG, that is bad, it shouldn't be up to you to need to check reservation before you go!!! Phone back, insist you speak to a Manager and tell them you expect a better level of Customer Service from Disney, sort out the problem and if it can't be rectified at CBR try and get an upgrade. It is their, mistake, you are the customer and entitled to a superb holiday and this shouldn't be spoiled by an error on Disneys part. Explain the importance of these rooms. the resort and how much thought went into booking hotel and hopefully you will have a caring Manager who will help out. Be calm, don't yell and count to 10;)

A CM cannot tell you what is not their job, if you ask for a mgr then you should get one, if not then hang up and call back right away and ask for a mgr at the beginning.

That is terrible! Did you book through the Disney website? Or another vacation planning site? Call back and speak to the manager. Disney is known for better service then this. Positive thoughts! Call back! It'll all work out!! Keep us posted!!

If you book through a travel company it maybe there fault and not Disneys. Also check your paperwork and make sure you paid extra on all 3 rooms and not just the first room. Good Luck!

I echo with everyone else's sentiments...Call back and recheck the reservation. If it isn't what you paid for and you have a confirmation stating that you are in 3 pirate rooms, then demand to speak to a manager. Disney won't hang up on you, so you will be able to get to who you want to speak to.

Well we got it resolved...sort of...
My husband called back and spoke to an absolutely WONDERFUL CM. We did orginally book through waltdisneyworld.com website and luckily I printed all the paperwork.
It seems that when we called back to add the Dining Plan to all our reservations 2 of the rooms were changed just to Water View and not Pirate Rooms with water view. System glitch (or user error)...no problem, I understand. I just wanted some type of resolution or solution to our problem especially since my 2 older girls would be staying with my mother in law in her room. I didn't want to be in Trinidad South and my older kids be in Aruba and my parents in Barbados. (Although my husband might enjoy my mom being that far away :ROFLOL:) All the Pirate rooms were booked so we could not switch the other 2 rooms. So instead they moved our room to the same area as my parents and mother in law and refunded our money. So stress is gone, I feel better. Thanks for all your help and letting me vent. You guys are the best!

This was not your fault. This has been a problem for a long time and something Disney really needs to fix. Anytime even a minor change is made to a reservation there is a very real possibility that special requests can disappear into thin air. This is the first I have heard of a room category being botched but just the same it was Disney's fault.

I have said this a million times but it bears repeating. If you make any change to a reservation, no matter how minor, have the CM read back all of the details including any special requests. It is the only way to insure that the details that help to make your trip special do not go poof.
