I spea for (most) Cast Members when I say........

Honestly I loved the nightastic show. I've never really been a fan of wishes. And the only time it really affects driving is if you get off between 9:30 and 10:30 and even then its maybe 15 minutes added on to your drive. Man up, it was a minor inconvenience for a way better show.

Now with fantasyland, that sucks with the buses.

I really enjoyed Summer Nightastic, but I am glad Wishes is back. Really love the music and storyline behind Wishes, but the Nightastic effects were amazing.

Summer Nightastic/MMM is far superior to the generic emotional mush fest that nails all the marketing buzzwords, Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams. They could keep it without the perimeters, and it'd still win by a mile.

Saw Nightastic twice last week, and holy crap the amount of people trying to move around after them was outrageous. I felt so bad for the CMs trying to keep it orderly. It took me 20 minutes to get from the sidewalk at the hub where I watched the show from to Liberty Square.

I agree it was total pandemonium last week. I saw the show on Thursday and Friday. Both times all of the hub and assorted bridges turned to total gridlock as soon as the show ended. On Friday night it took me 30 min to get from the Partners statue area to Tomorrowland. I initially shuffled towards the TL bridge but it was at a standstill. I eventually went around through the TL non-Noodle Station. It was so scary. CMs were begging people exiting the park to use the backstage road that runs parallel to Main St behind The Plaza. Last time I saw anything like that it was Easter vacation 2005. I wonder why crowds were so unusually crazy.

Wishes may be more emotional, but the Nightastic pyrotechnics blew it out of the water.

Absolutely. The two shows are on opposite ends of the spectrum pyro-wise. The castle pyro, special shapes, and of course the perimeters all add up to one amazing show. I'm so glad I got to see it twice last week.

:)wave: by the way!)

Yay for underground tunnels LOL I COULD NOT imagine having to fight through that traffic. That is INSANE. You are brave indeed sir. Other than that, was your vaca magical?

The smelly sea of humanity filling the streets each night was definitely not magical. Everything else was fine...except for the 101391% humidity...which definitely didn't help the smell of the crowds on Thurs/Fri nights. :dazzle:

When I worked in Fantasyland, I LOVED working Wishes. If you're in front of the castle, guests could occasionally get ridiculously rude because they had to go to the castle right that second and didn't believe your reasons why they couldn't, but that wasn't too big of a deal. It was a nice long time to be out of rotation and just talk to guests and then watch fireworks, though.

Also, on my college program, attractions did PAC for the parades, as well. And that was amazing. Being bumped out of rotation to watch Spectro was the stuff great days were made of.

I once got to work double day PAC and double night PAC. Fastest day ever and a huge paycheck to boot.

Last summer we were in gridlock while trying to find a safe spot to hang out for awhile after Wishes while waiting for the park to empty. I've never had a problem in enclosed spaces, but I felt myself start to panic. I felt like I couldn't breathe and I was going to be separated from my husband. I can't imagine how crazy it must have been after Nightastic.

Hats off to the CMs who I believe are sometimes truely unappreciated! I don't know how you guys do it!

One of the MANY reasons I will NEVER do PAC. It's hell on earth. I'm perfectly happy in attractions, thank you LOL

Since you are attractions, you may have to eventually do PAC. I didn't do a lot of PAC shifts, but I had fun in the few ones I did.

What is PAC?
Parade Audience Control

It's just the cast members who are working the crowds during shows and such. Like the people putting up the ropes and manning the parade routes (this is mostly Mainstreet people now), or the Fantasyland CMs doing the same for Wishes. It's also stuff like the CMs who are out making sure crowds keep moving on really busy days.

That's nothing compared to being in the Cast Services hallway around 10:30PM each night when all of the ICP's come running through to catch their bus. They throw their soiled costumes on the floor and then hang out in the hall until their bus comes. Quite the international fragrance there. :hurl:
