My teacher NEVER uses the AP Exam format in essays, questions, nothing. We haven't even taken a DBQ yet! Don't you need to use, like, all the documents or something?!? We are so woefully unprepared!
I think our teacher just likes to torture us!

HE is an idiot. POV= Point of View. After you cite each document, you give credit to it's author and WHY he wrote the piece.
Example...If you were writing about a man in Germany in 1939, you would explain his reasonings and tone through the POV.
"In his letter to Shmidt, Mr. Von Brainwashed Nazi, holds these nationalistic views because of the political climate of the time. Hitler had just taken power and....."

Understand? This is in addition to the usual groupings and classification you do. It's not to hard, you just have to keep doing it for all Docs. It helps classify, IMHO...I just did it at the same time. Got 9's on the DBQ's, too. It was the MC that brought be down..:lol:

And, I'm still in touch with my mentor/History teacher from HS, so if I don't know, I can ask him for you. Anyway...

What I bolded are going to be your three main body paragraphs of the DBQ. The documents you read will be classified into them. And it's rather easy...YOU read the documents, YOU create your own groupings.
