And we may live to regret this..... but we've decided not to take our stroller.

We're only doing half days in the parks, I didn't need one when we went on the shake down trip, and if push comes to shove we can probably grab a rental. She has started refusing to ride in the stroller at the zoo, and I don't want to spend my vacation arguing with her about why she needs to ride in it.

We're nuts not to bring the stroller, aren't we?

We are going soon with our 2.5 yr old who also isnt a fan of strollers. I plan on babywearing him for longer walks and some ride lines. My carrier fits easily in the bottom of our park bag. so no I don't think you are nuts, or maybe we both are a little

The to-do list is getting shorter, and with only 33 days left that's a good thing!

Done:
  • Welcome basket for the kid is made and wrapped
  • Disney Christmas stockings are stuffed and presents are wrapped and the Christmas decorations are packed
  • Snack/ lunch food is bought and bagged and just waiting to be packed
  • Packing list is made and half the items are set aside
Still left to do:
  • I've been knitting hats for our trip and they're *ALMOST* done. I just need to sew the bows and ears onto mine and add buttons for the polka dots
  • A "wrote" some letters to send off to her favorite characters. I've been a terrible mom and haven't sent them out yet. I should do that soon so she has a shot at getting a response before we go
And that's it!! I'm hoping to wrap almost everything up for actual Christmas this weekend (pun intended), and then I can coast into the holidays stress free!

Wow! That's so great that you have all that done! I've done barely anything lol...

Ever since I became a mom I get really stressed if I have any to do list items in December. Having a small child means every weekend in December has some different activity attached to it and it's overwhelming. Take the picture for our Christmas card, visit Santa, go to zoo lights, make our nature Christmas tree, make cookies for the neighbors, go on hikes with friends, etc. It's exhausting. So I normally try to have Christmas prep wrapped up by October.

My favorite was always making reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas Eve...just mix together some dry oatmeal and glitter or rainbow sprinkles...so cute!

Jumping in after checking out your ptr a while ago...

I was not a big Disney fan prior to meeting my wife (who IS a big Disney-holic)... DW is a tomboy and our daughter (3 1/2) is a super girlie-girl. Her twin brother flips between being super boy to stealing his sister's princess outfits (he is gonna kill us when he is older and we whip out the pictures of him Dressed as Belle). Learned that we just go with the flow....

You have done an amazing planning job... I hope you have a wonderful time. Christmas at Disney can be amazing, but super stressful. Crowd levels can really compound it.

If you don't want to take a stroller, maybe consider trying a wrist "leash"... We positioned it as a mommy or daddy leash.. Took both it and an umbrella stroller to the local zoo "zoo boo" and they preferred the mom/daddy leash as they perceived that they had control.. I am not rnormally a fan of "child leashes" , but with the crowd level and how easy it is to get separated, we are considering them for our trip next December - along with stroller for she. They are just too exhausted to walk any more and are on the verge of a meltdown.

When push comes to shove and the stress to get to a reservation gets too much, take a step back. If you need to, cancel the reservation or fp. Disney is usually pretty good about working with you.

One thing I noticed you did not mention was Bippity Boppity Boutique..... Not to add something to your stress level....

Hope you have a great time. Totally agree on the completing the TR AFTER you get home... Focus on the fun while you are there...

I totally missed your comment on Disney on Ice.. we just did it last month... I was dreading it, afraid the kids might get bored or I would be bored, but both kids loved it and we actually enjoyed it too...

Avoid the "souvenir" tables.. if possible... Then again, we still wound up buying an olaf mug and princess mug for the kids... <sigh>
