Wow!! This thread made me so happy!!
It helps with the disembarking sadness.
We are in the NYC harbor waiting for breakfast. We were up at 5 to see the skyline as we pulled in to the city. We are hoping to catch an early bus and be back early afternoon.
It was a great great cruise. Angie was sooooooo sweet to give up her day for us!! Our private excursion was about a hundred times better than any other excursion I'm sure. . We saw so much and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. Angie and her while family are just adorable and incredibly nice.
Sigh. It was just great. Sad that it's over!!
Oh you are so sweet but I really didn't mind, I had such a great day with all of you !! Trevor was especially thrilled because I wasn't home bugging him to finish packing, haha !! There was so much more I would have liked to show you but there just wasn't enough time however I think that is the perfect reason to come back
Did you guys have any bad weather after you left? That evening we had a huge thunder and lightening storm, I was hoping it missed you guys.
Now I expect a full report by the time I get home from Disney.....but no pressure, lol !!
More?! We felt like we got a world class tour! Definitely a reason to come back though. Stephen said tonight he'd like to go back.
We had great weather after we left. It was sunny and the seas were very smooth for the most part.
By the time you get back?! Yikes! Maybe you should extend for a week or so! Lol!
Well if you guys come back you will have to come on a land trip so we have more time and we will take you to Cape Breton, you would love it there.
So glad you guys didn't pass through that storm. I am not a fan of storms like, I don't think it would be very fun when you are out in the middle of the ocean
Okay, Okay, I guess I should let you finish the last report first. It's worth the wait
You definitely talked me into Cape Breton! It's on my must do list now!
We may have gone through the storm in the night because I did wake up to some rocking. Thankfully it just put me back to sleep!
I do have to finish Disneyland first! I need to catch up today and then I will restart tomorrow!
I am picking up Tammy, her hubby and their friends on Saturday morning to show them around our beautiful city. The weather has been gorgeous all week so I am hoping they are having a great trip. The forecast is now calling for rain on Saturday (of course) but our saying in Nova Scotia is "If ya don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes because it is bound to change" so let's keep our fingers crossed that it changes otherwise I might just have to take them on a tour of our basement
Yep, we have the same saying in Newfoundland too! Like the ol' fella says when asked what the weather is like in NL, "Well, we have 10 mths of winter and 2 mths of bad weather!" Seriously, did you guys have a good summer this year... because we had an amazing one. A girl could get use to weather like this. Even today, we're still wearing our summer clothes!
Very nice of you to give them a tour of Halifax (I'm assuming it was Halifax). Which I've never seen btw, only the airport and a hotel next door (which doesn't count, I'm sure).
Sweetpee and anybody else is welcome to come to this side of the world and get some east coast hospitality!
I'll put icebergs on the agenda (and basements for those who find them interesting ) and maybe you can all see the caplin roll in. The fish fill the waters and roll in with the waves. You go out and catch buckets (or boots) of fish with your hands.
