You know how to save Figment bring back the original RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here, here!!! As my 5 year old son says, as he puts his hand over his nose, "Daddy, this ride stinks!" He may be referring to the skunk like smell but we all know better.

All for progress here, but sheeesh.

I agree with both Tahu & EpcoTim.

The labratory theme has got to go. Too may things in Epcot have a lab theme to them now. (Imagination!, Test Track, etc.)

Also, you can defintley see too much of that ride. They are not supposed to give away so much of the ride's workings!

You're so right! I have a video of a very young me talking with Figment and Dreamfinder. I was really nervous, and Dreamfinder kept trying to get me to talk to him. Finally, he had Figment "eat" my hat and I started laughing, and then I didn't stop talking! He talked to me for at least 15 minutes, even though there was a huge crowd around. He let me "pet" Figment and everything. A lot of people came around to watch, and my dad got the whole thing on video. Later in the day, someone walking by said "Hey there's the Figment girl!"

Now that's what Disney magic used to be about.
:)!!!

When my GF and I rode on Journey, it was because we were practically begged to do so. We were in the Interactive play area, and I saw a corridor and wondered where it led. Turns out it was the exit to the ride, but because nobody was getting on, nobody was getting off, so I just didn't notice it as being an exit. My GF and I walked up until we realized what it was. There was a young woman and 2 children about to get on the ride, and that was it. Granted it was a Saturday in August, and from what I've been told, weekends are slow in Epcot. AND there were plenty of rides throughout our vacation we were able to walk on with minimal to no wait. But the fact that only 3 people were about to get on the ride, to me, didn't bode well. The crew working the ride told it was OK to walk in through the exit. Trying to avoid riding the ride, we said "no we'll walk around to the front." But they were insistent. Finally, we figured, why not, it's not like we have to wait for it. And to be fair, there are far worse things a person could do with their time. But we never got into it. It didn't feel special, plus my best friend and I always talk about how Eric Idle is the least talented member of Monty Python, so seeing him be so prominent in the ride wasn't a selling point for me. HISTA is great, and I enjoy the interactive area, but that was one experience I don't need to RE-experience.

The original Figment and Dreamfinder ride was always one of our highlights when we visited Epcot. Just before it closed we had a conversation with the cast member playing Dreamfinder as he sweltered outside in the hot Florida sun. He told us the reason for his character's demise was, in the opinion of management, because little children were frightened of him. Political correctness?

I have some great video of their meet and greet outside the pavillion when Figment would remove and spit out baseball caps from rival theme parks. The parks brought him back after much protest but they cannot be expected to go the extra mile and give the public what they want. Surely not?
