I always loved fantasmic but I always hate having to sat on those bleachers. I love the california one because you can watch it like you can wishes and Illuminations where you can stand freely and. Maybe I am being a bit picky but I love the idea of having the show at Frontier Land.

To me that is a thematic nightmare that show doesn't fit in Frontierland and I love the fact that you can actualy sit for the show.

i agree that it is a good place in the stadium but i absolutly hate it to wait in the queue before the show starts. It is always so crowded there.

I don't mind the stadium, but it drives me crazy that there are no backs on the bleachers. We always get there an hour before the show to get a good seat, and it's super uncomfortable having to sit there for so long without a back rest.

I never wait in line - if I can't get dinner reservations with Fantasmic seating, then I'll walk in after the line has been open for a while. There's plenty of seating and really not a bad seat in the house. I also don't not mind sitting in the front (all you do is end up wet up anyhow) plus it takes forever to leave when you sit in the front row.

If there were backs on the bleachers, there would be even more injuries from people climbing/falling over them than there are now with backless seats. (Even with telling people not to climb over the rows, it still happens, and people still trip and fall flat on their faces) If you'd prefer a seat back, bring along a collapsible seat designed for stadium bleachers.

As for the stadium vs Disneyland's setup, while it loses a bit of the charm of the middle-of-the-park location, in my opinion the better crowd control in the theater and the park itself much outweighs the lessened atmosphere.

EDIT: Just wanted to add one more thought: I'm surprised the Merchandise people haven't taken the initiative and started offering Disney-themed collapsible stadium seats for sale in and near the amphitheater...

Yeah I hate having to wait for such a long period of time before it starts. This upcoming trip we are actually going to skip it for the first time just because we don't want to sit and wait. We actually just want to spend most of our time at MK.

I dont like the wait, but I think the long wait is indicative of how great the show is. I dont have a problem with the stadium though. There really is not a bad seat in the house and you can see everything that is going on from anywhere within the stadium.

Love the wait, it's part of the experience for me! I have waited HOURS for Fantasmic!

HATE the lack of back support though

I agree with the back support. It is painful to sit that long without it. But the arena is great..haven't had a bad seat yet. The wait is totally worth it!

I'll agree that the Frontierland setting itself is superior in DL, but I love being able to sit.

How does that show remotly belong in Frontier Land?

Fantasmic at DL is our favorite! We are planning on skipping it on this year's trip to WDW. It fits in Frontierland great because they use the wooden pirate ship for part of the show and it sails around the river. Awesome fight between Peter Pan and Captain Hook on the ship. YOu don't have this at WDW. I must admit though, it is a bear waiting for the show at DL too. We have twice paid for the expensive reserved seating (and dessert) just to have a great view and avoid the masses.

Yeah, I thought that might be the reason, but it still stinks. Too bad people are idiots.

A pirate ship doesn't fit on the American Frontier :brick:
